I wanted to purchase two children's rocking chairs from Hayneedle.comI called to ask if the chairs came assembled and was told they required minor assembly with four screws Not true They requires much assembly, and the screws and nuts that came with the chairs did not fit each other My husbans could not assemble the chairs even after buying additional screws When I called to get help with a return, no one ever came to the phone I waited over an hour on two occassions This was my first, and last, experience with Hayneedle.com

It seems impossible to get through to these people on the phone If you purchase something from Hayneedle, better not have any problems or you could be out of luck!

Like this company very much! Their customer service is wonderful! I called them to return the furniture.No hassle experience! They issued me return labels and called *** to pick up my packagesMy account was credited within business day after packages left my ** home

Of all the companies that i've ordered items online, Hayneedle has been the best

Scam companyShipped me a faulty table (missing parts and holes were drilled in the wrong locations)Agreed to give me a refund, then sent me several incorrect *** shipping labelsI had to rent a truck several times to try to return the table via *** but the shipping labels were "invalid." The last time I asked for another label, Hayneedle told me they stopped selling that table (***) and refused to allow me to return or receive a refundMeanwhile, I've now paid $$ towards truck rentals and wasted time and energy trying to return this useless table that I'm no stuck withNot even the trash collectors will accept it

I ordered an item from Hayneedle through ***Upon receiving this item I discovered that I was shipped the incorrect itemI requested a refund, then began searching aroundI discovered that they had the incorrect item listed as the item I ordered on ***Upon bringing this up to them they informed me that they do not have an exchange policy and I would have to re-place my order (which is hooked up to the wrong item)Their customer service was very responsive, however they could not assist in delivering the item I actually ordered
I do not suggest purchasing from Hayneedle, especially through their shop on ***Overall, i've had a very negative experience

Beware of their "Best Price Guarantee"They phrase their price match policy in a way that leads you to believe that they'll beat any legitimate price This is not soAfter sitting on hold separate times for several minutes each time, the friendly customer rep stated "we don't price match with ***"This is especially suspect because I told her at the beginning of the call that the lower price was with ***
Bait and switch

First of all I don't ever leave a review on large companies such as theseHowever, I am so angry and disappointed at how they run their business that I need others to knowI called their customer service on 1/about a faucet that I NEEDED as soon as possible for our long drawn out constructionI had previously ordered the same faucet from another company for less money but was emailed a day later saying it was backordered until mid-MarchThis was a problem since we would be waiting a month and 1/for a faucet which delayed counter top installation, plumbing, and so on and so onSo I went with hayneedle for almost double the price since they confirmed and reconfirmed with me that there was ONE leftI asked quite a few times just to make sureOrdered it over the phone with them that same day/phone conversationTHREE days later I looked at my order status (like I had been for the past few days as I was excited I had found one) and the morning of 2/the status said "In Fulfillment"I was so happy to see it being processed and practically out the doorLater that day I checked again to see if it had changed (it would have been arriving before the 7th so I was anxious to see the progress) it said "CANCELLED"No emails, no phone calls, nothingI called wondering why the *** it was cancelled if I had been told over and over there was one left and that I was able to get it before 2/While the customer service lady was nice I was so appalled that they would take my information, my payment, and reaffirming me there was one WHEN IN REALITY THERE WAS NONE!!! Not only is there system crap apparently but that rep I spoke to, ***, couldn't dig a little deeper to REALLY see that there were NONE!! They had the audacity to come back and tell me that they emailed me (no, no they didn't) that morning (remember it said in fulfillment that morning), to take 10% off (still not even close to the other sites low price), and that they had sold it from under meHow can you have a thriving company if you are giving out information to your customers?? I just don't get it, your system updates everyday to every other day (per what the customer service lady said) and in reality it was sold on 1/the system obviously isn't catching up hence giving customer informationJust disgusted at how they can give out wrong information without repercussions

I have placed many orders with hayneedleWhen I ordered backless benches, one of the pieces of wood were cracked I called customer service and in days I got the replacement piece without any problemsSorry to hear not everyone has had the same experienceI have always had a positive experience with them

On Dec15th I ordered an item for Christmas In order to get the item before Christmas (Dec23) I paid for upgraded shipping On DecI got an email saying the item had been shipped and would arrive on Dec27th (AFTER Christmas!) After speaking with a very nice rep at Hayneedle the shipping cost was refunded but a MAJOR Christmas surprise is now ruined and I have to come up with something else two days before the holiday The problem was blamed on ***, but I blame the company If the carrier can't deliver, then a new carrier should be used EPIC FAIL Hayneedle! Buyer Beware!

I've used Hayneeded a few times and generally had a good experienceThis past order, I ordered items which totaled over $**When I went to check out, I received the free shippingWell, later the order shipped one item at a timeWhen the first item went out my credit card was charged about $* for shippingI contacted Hayneedle about this extra chargeTheir response was because the order ended up shipping at different times, they had to charge for shippingI brushed this off and decided to eat the $* and forget about itThe next day, I was charged an additional $***I contacted them again saying not I have $* plus $*** for shipping that was supposed to be freeAgain their response was because it had shipped out separately they had to charge meIf they want to charge for shipping for each individual item, they need to put it on the order at checkoutI ended up paying around $** for shipping days after my order was placedCharging for shipping days after an order is placed with no notification is unacceptableI will be taking my business back to retailers I can trust and not using Hayneedle again

I ordered items at a total cost of over $*** This company was one of the few that would ship to Honolulu although the shipping charges are very high, almost 50% of the product costs I subsequently canceled the order due to issues with their email system, customer service staff who couldn't expeditiously process my order, one of the items which was on sale was no longer available, got bounced around amongst no less than staff, and the cost of one item doubled when I tried to execute a new order without the out of stock item
On my original order, I received notice that my order was pending acceptance of the shipping charges which I did by return email. They claimed they didn't receive my email messages.  (Since my order cancelation however, I received no less than email from them including acknowledgements that my emails are now being received.) I found my order was canceled although it was still prior to the acceptance deadline.  I called prior to the acceptance deadline at which time they said the order would be processed. I called again since no response to my email, and was advised that one of the items, a dining set, was no longer available. However, I asked them to process the rest of the order. Since the reorder wasn't confirmed by email, I called again and talked to another person. Went through the entire process again which ended up with the same result. No confirmation, no order placed. Finally talked to another customer service person to follow up and again found that no order was placed.  This time I did receive an order confirmation right away, but the price on one of the items was doubled.Â
Since then I've received a ton of damage control email, and no sign of issues with my return email Too much too late To top things off, the second customer service person I talked to sends me an email today advising me that the dining set is not available and asking if I would like to process the rest of the order!

We have bought from Hayneedle a few times, and each time customer service has been friendly and helpfulOur purchases, some large and heavy, have always arrived ahead of time, with great communication and trackingThey have been well packedThey have been exactly as described on the Hayneedle websiteVery pleased

By far the worse customer service I have ever dealt with. My package was shipped from California to South Carolina and got damaged by [redacted]. [redacted] returned the package to California is this is where the problem starts. I learned all this from the tracking number and Hayneedle never reached out to me. When I contacted Hayneedle their response was we are not shipping you another. When asked about my money their response was we would have contacted you and offered a refund instead of shipping a new one. A responsible company would have just shipped a new one immediately after learning the original had been broken. A responsible company would not leave the buyer trying to figure out what is going on. How do you stay in business treating the customer like this.

Hayneedle Customer Service has been extremely helpful in solving a manufacture's problem for me. I had one person with whom I worked and she was absolutely one of the best service people with whom I've ever worked. Didn't keep me waiting on the phone to see if she could get an answer. Said she would call back or email back and did exactly as promised and within the time frame promised. Truly professional and in spite of manufacturer's problems she was able to get it handled.

Worst internet shopping experience and 1st time I have ever written a complaint!! I ordered brackets for my planter boxes, website said they were in stock and I would receive in 7 days. When I did not receive I tried calling customer service...waited for 30 min and still no one picked up, tried another time waited for 30 min and again no one picked up, I tried multiple times to get through always getting the message they were experiencing high volume of calls and the wait could be 30 min...finally I decided to try the sales department so that I could talk to a live person, of course they answered in a couple of rings. Once I got a salesperson who apologized and said they were hiring more people and really could not help me, I asked to speak to a supervisor...I was told my order had been back ordered for another month, never was notified by email like most companies do. I asked to cancel my order, I was then told they would try but could not promise it would get cancelled. They charged my credit card and have an authorization hold on my card until it ships...REALLY, what kind of business is this!.I would STRONGLY suggest shopping somewhere else!!!

I cannot believe this company has an A+ rating! Purchased 4 of the Hudson Street Faux Suede 22 x 22 in. Decorative Pillows in Mocha from [redacted] and they were shipped from Hayneedle. Wished I had known they were coming from Hayneedle as I would have researched and seen what a terrible company they are. These pillows are so cheap looking there is no way I will use them and would be embarrassed to put them on display in my home! They arrived squished into a box and came out so wrinkly they look like they have been used. Contacted customer service and they expect me to pay return postage for their crappy, cheap pillows. I am not going to do that as they need to stand behind their products and I feel they just don't care. Will be donating these to local rescue mission and I would advise people to stay away from this company and especially these awful pillows! I wish this site had the ability to upload pictures so people could see just how awful this pillows look.

Do not buy from Heyneedle.com. They have made some questionable business decisions that have negatively impacted me as a customer.
Three weeks ago I placed an order on Heyneedle to buy some bedroom furniture for my youngest. Today I received notification that they cancelled the order due to "Unavailable Inventory." In this case Heyneedle was simply facilitating the order between me and the manufacturer. The order was shipping direct from factory. I found it kind of odd that a make to order product that was to be shipped directly to me. So I called Heyneedle to get clarification and was told that the inventory was unavailable.
I then called the manufacturer. They informed me that there should not be any inventory issues as this is part of their current offering. The finish was not discontinued either.
I called Heyneedle again and after some recounting of the issues, they informed me that as of today they no longer do business with the manufacturer. This was due to communication issues between Heyneedle and the manufacturer. Due to this, they cancelled all in-flight orders. The manufacturer mentioned none of this to me. So now I am a week and a half from delivery and my order has been cancelled. But with only a week and a half to go my product should be in production. Surely I can contact the manufacturer and see if I can take ownership of the order so they do not have to scrap or inventory what I want to order.
I called the manufacturer back. It turns out that in the three weeks that Heyneedle had my money they never even submitted the order to the manufacturer. I am not sure what Heyneedle was thinking by not being more forthcoming with their mistakes. Customer service was not helpful at all. They made no attempt to have my order fulfilled and yet held on to my money for 3 weeks denying me the opportunity to find a another vendor so I could get my products around Christmas.
The manufacturer on the other hand was extremely helpful and friendly. They were patient on the phone and explained my options clearly, even providing me with other retailers.
Whether or not the relationship between Heyneedle and the manufacturer was strained and close to collapsing, in 3 weeks they made no attempt to fulfill my order and with a 3.5 week lead time on the product they and no hope of doing so and getting it to me on time. I will not shop Heyneedle again and would strongly advise you to check out the reviews of this site before you do.

They are a terrible company, delivering the wrong products and charging the customer for the return of the products. They also kept more of my money than the shipping fees they claimed. I had to call to get my full refund and they couldn't explain to me why more than the alleged return fees were kept. They suck!!!!!!

This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced:
1)Ordered 2 pillow. Only 1 was delivered.
2) Called customer service number. Get a message saying wait time is 30 minutes or more. I hung up after 45.
3) Sent one email. Got a response saying wait time is 72 hours. Just tried again and now it says 96 hours.
4) If you call the company headquarters, you are transferred to the operator. I have done this 2 times and get "[redacted] voicemail. She never returned my first message.
5) I called the company that shipped my first pillow successfully. [redacted]. They are unable (by contract) to share any shipping information with me about the 2nd missing pillow.
6) I went on their link to return the item and got a message that said they couldn't find my order and to call customer service.
ARE THEY KIDDING ME???
