Review: Hazelwood Title committed to refund me overages that I paid on a recent closing. Hazelwood Title used the expensive fundWire process to move the money as opposed to the free ACH process, without notifying me of their selected method and giving me an option to select payment by check. As a result, my bank charged me to accept the fundWire. I respectfully requested that Hazelwood make me whole, but the owner brusquely refused.Desired Settlement: I request that Hazelwood Ttle cover my fundWire fee from my bank: $20, by sending me a check to my home of record.

Hazelwood Title always gives buyers and sellers the option of having a wire or check for their refund or proceeds. As I explained to [redacted], we have no idea what any individual bank will charge or NOT charge their customers. I never said anything to him (or any other customer) about an ACH transfer. We ONLY do wires to customers. [redacted] also indicated that he has several accounts with his bank. I suggested that he call his branch and explain to them about the charge he received from his bank and they would possibly refund him those monies. Hazelwood Title does NOT charge a wire transfer fee to any of our customers. The charge came directly from his bank.

I can also tell you that after [redacted] left the settlement table both the agent, the sellers, and his loan officer of his transaction said that he was extremely difficult and argumentative throughout the entire transaction.
