Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 10, 2014/11/11) */ I am contacting the customer today, to settle on the bikeWe have already fixed the broken knob and compensated for the broken glassThanks, [redacted]

I gave Mr *** a moving estimate in early December He contracted our company to move about 70% of his household goods items to local storage in StLouis and the remaining items he moved next door to his neighbors basement or garage We moved his goods to storage on December
(Total weight 14,lbs) Mr *** asked me to give him an estimate for moving his household goods from our warehouse and pick up a small amount of items that he moved to his next door neighbor's house) I gave him an estimate based on 17,lbs(I did not have access to see what all was being moved from the neighbor's location) Mr*** told me that my weight estimate was too high and to lower it to include only about lbspicking up from the neighbor's house He said the items we would pick up at that location included a small motorcycle, a TV, and a few boxes I sent tour updated estimate to move his items to Florida, based on 15,lbs, per his request He told me that our price was still about twice as much as our competition I told him that I could not adjust my price any further and that I would not charge him for storing his goods for the month of April I also told him that if he wanted to use our competition and save money, I would be happy to move his goods to our dock and the other moving company could load the goods from our dock He still decided to use our company Before we loaded any items from our warehouse or Mr***'s neighbor's house, Mr*** requested to view the weighing of our truck We made arrangements so he could meet our truck at the truck scale and watch it being weighed (empty weight) We loaded the goods from our warehouse and then went to load the goods from the neighbor's house We loaded inventory pages worth of items (In our industry, that average weight per inventory page is about 1,lbs.) I have attached the inventory pages to this response Mr*** decided not to follow our driver back to the truck weighing scale to view the weight of his goods When I sent him the updated cost for moving his goods (total weight: 20,lbs), he disputed the weight and additional cost I told him that we are willing to weight the shipment again at delivery in Florida He agreed and I told my driver to call him a day in advance of delivery, so they could find the nearest truck scale to view the weighing of his goods My driver could not reach Mr*** (I believe my driver had Mr***'s home phone number is StLouis and not his cell phone number) and called me over the weekend to let me know I told him to get a Gross weight at a certified truck scale on his way to deliver the goods When my driver made it to deliver Mr***'s goods, my driver showed Mr*** the gross weight ticket and said he coud follow my driver to view the empty weight Mr*** wanted my driver to drive back miles to the nearest weigh station to weight the truck again I got involved and told Mr*** that we would do that, but if the shipment reweighs at a greater weight than the original weight, we would charge him for the additional weight as well He decided to let our driver unload and follow him to the scale to view the empty weight of the truck As it turns out, the reweigh turned out to be about lbsless than the original weight, so *** Van Lines is refunding what ever the rated difference is from the original weight and the re-weigh.Mr*** contacted me and said his table was put together wrong and that some of his furniture was not re-assembled and that he called *** Van Lines to take care of it

I gave Mr [redacted] a moving estimate in early December 2015.  He contracted our company to move about 70% of his household goods items to local storage in St. Louis and the remaining items he moved next door to his neighbors basement or garage.  We moved his goods to storage on December...

11 2015.  (Total weight 14,480 lbs).  Mr [redacted] asked me to give him an estimate for moving his household goods from our warehouse and pick up a small amount of items that he moved to his next door neighbor's house)  I gave him an estimate based on 17,000 lbs. (I did not have access to see what all was being moved from the neighbor's location).  Mr. [redacted] told me that my weight estimate was too high and to lower it to include only about 1000 lbs. picking up from the neighbor's house.  He said the items we would pick up at that location included a small motorcycle, a TV, and a few boxes.  I sent tour updated estimate to move his items to Florida, based on 15,400 lbs, per his request.  He told me that our price was still about twice as much as our competition.  I told him that I could not adjust my price any further and that I would not charge him for storing his goods for the month of April.  I also told him that if he wanted to use our competition and save money, I would be happy to move his goods to our dock and the other moving company could load the goods from our dock.  He still decided to use our company.  Before we loaded any items from our warehouse or Mr. [redacted]'s neighbor's house, Mr. [redacted] requested to view the weighing of our truck.  We made arrangements so he could meet our truck at the truck scale and watch it being weighed (empty weight).  We loaded the goods from our warehouse and then went to load the goods from the neighbor's house.  We loaded 6 inventory pages worth of items (In our industry, that average weight per inventory page is about 1,000 lbs.)  I have attached the inventory pages to this response.  Mr. [redacted] decided not to follow our driver back to the truck weighing scale to view the weight of his goods.  When I sent him the updated cost for moving his goods (total weight: 20,780 lbs), he disputed the weight and additional cost.  I told him that we are willing to weight the shipment again at delivery in Florida.  He agreed and I told my driver to call him a day in advance of delivery, so they could find the nearest truck scale to view the weighing of his goods.  My driver could not reach Mr. [redacted] (I believe my driver had Mr. [redacted]'s home phone number is St. Louis and not his cell phone number) and called me over the weekend to let me know.  I told him to get a Gross weight at a certified truck scale on his way to deliver the goods.  When my driver made it to deliver Mr. [redacted]'s goods, my driver showed Mr. [redacted] the gross weight ticket and said he coud follow my driver to view the empty weight.  Mr. [redacted] wanted my driver to drive back 30 miles to the nearest weigh station to weight the truck again.  I got involved and told Mr. [redacted] that we would do that, but if the shipment reweighs at a greater weight than the original weight, we would charge him for the additional weight as well.  He decided to let our driver unload and follow him to the scale to view the empty weight of the truck.  As it turns out, the reweigh turned out to be about 700 lbs. less than the original weight, so [redacted] Van Lines is refunding what ever the rated difference is from the original weight and the re-weigh.
Mr. [redacted] contacted me and said his table was put together wrong and that some of his furniture was not re-assembled and that he called [redacted] Van Lines to take care of it.
