Review: I began taking my White Plymouth Laser 2.0 Turbo (License# [redacted])to HB Auto & AC to get serviced for various issues including oil leaks. -My first invoice(11/30/2012) was to fix the starter, the AC, and my oil leaks. The bill came out to $1,100. They said my major oil leaks were my oil pan seal, knock sensor, and turbo line. They fixed it and said there should be no more oil leaks. -I then drove to Arizona to visit family, and the car had lost 2 quarts upon arrival. I informed the autoshop of this and brought my car in again on 2/2/2013...they rechecked my car for oil leaks, and they charged me again to clean all oil from under car. I had my brake master cylnder replaced as well. This invoice was $327.27. They said they said that they couldn't see any oil leaks but recommended that my Timing Belt be replaced because could possibly be leaking there. HB Auto & A/C mailed me a letter stating that my timing belt may need to be replaced. -Unfortunately,I left for a job and was not able to bring my car in for awhile. I brought the car in on 7/18/2013. They then charged me a 3rd time to clean my car of oil and find oil leaks. They said the culprit of the oil leaks was my timing belt so I had it replaced my water pump, thermostat, and resealing my oil pan. The bill came out to $1,620. --On January 6th while driving on the 405 northbound going approximately 65mph in the fast lane, I heard a big thump as if something hit the undercarriage of my car, and my car lost power. It was a very scary situation, I almost crashed but I luckily made it over 4 lanes of traffic to the right shoulder. There were fluids all over the ground. My new autoshop and insurance adjuster deemed that a piston went through the backside of my engine block behind my A/C compressor. They also noticed the car still had many oil leaks, and that the oil pan seal was poorly done. My timing belt also had a big groove in it as if it was placed on improperly. -I notified HB Auto & AC and the denied any responsibilityDesired Settlement: I wish to have HB Auto & A/C **PAY FOR**: new replacement engine that I had to purchase for $1,870 from O'Reillys Auto Parts, the labor included for A & A Auto to replace the engine, plus any extra parts required for repair as well. --Given that I have been out of a car for several weeks, I have a son, and I work, I have had to use a rental car that is costing me $30.00 a day from Enterprise rent a car. I wish to have HB Auto & AC compensate me for the cost of having to use a rental vehicle.
