HC Homes

The houses they produce are not up to construction standards. They do not stand by the crappy work that their sub-contactors do. They lie and shift blame to avoid responsibility for their poor product. Would never recommend this immoral company.

We purchased a home in May 2018. There was a 1 year builder warranty for construction and workmanship. 6 months into owning the home, we began noticing drywall pillowing, seams, and uneven surfacing on the ceiling in our upstairs hallway and bonus room. We reported the issues to HC Homes. We were told it would be fixed at the 1 year mark. We resubmitted at the 1 year mark. 4 times after that, HC Homes told us they would fix the problem, but it was never fixed. The site supervisor refused to put a straight edge to the ceiling to see how uneven it is. The ceiling dips 1/2 inch in spots. There are granite chips in the vanity that have not been fixed. On the HC Homes website, it says painted millwork is standard. Ours in only partially painted. We have followed all of the warranty procedures as directed by HC Homes. HC Homes is in breach of contract for not fixing drywall work that does not meet standards set by the drywall/gypsum board standards GA-214-96.

So much work left undone after we purchased our home and did a walk through. The site coordinator Dennis is a joke he refuses to take responsibility for anything. I have lived in my home for 3 weeks now still have tape everywhere from the wrong color paint used to match existing paint. Cupboards have issues that were noted and still not fixed. Landscaping is terrible, most neighbors cant keep plants, trees, or grass alive. If I had to do this process over again I would not buy a HC built home. Seems as if they only care and taking your $ and dont care about follow up of getting things done. Victor is a good man and so far the only quailty person I have met who does work for this company. Victor is in charge of getting most of my fixes done and has assured me things will be done this coming week. I wish I could post pictures of my lawn and this loser the site foreman Dennis had the nerve to saw my grass being half dead is my fault due to fertilizer burn.
