We hired *** to do estate sale on my moms house. His employees came in to price for sale. We have noticed and found that items were stolen, broken, and damaged upon him leaving the contracted job. When confronted he backed out of the contract and refused to honor the contract. Realizing that he was taking items from the property we reviewed cameras and noticed workers taking items out of the house. The employee returned to the house with the key to my moms house and discovered multiple items missing.

HCM contacted the family after the complaint was filed. I discussed the accusation of what they stated was stolen, broken and damaged. At no time is or was this complaint correct. The items that were removed from the house where ok'ed by the family to put in another sale in *** and was returned the day we cancelled our contract. The house has security video running 24 hours a day inside and out. The item that the complainant accused us of stealing was paid the day (she had come to look for another item she said we took) before it was removed from the house and she failed to tell her sister.
I also discussed broken and damaged items that she accused us of breaking. The items that we found broken or damaged when we unpacked them from boxes where not put in the trash, but left in some of the boxes and totes.
I have been in the customer service business for over 30 year and have never had a problem with a customer. This problem started with the complainant accusing my employees of taking a silver and a gold necklace from the house. The silver necklace was found in the jewelry box by the complainant and my employee told her we would look for the gold one as we worked. The complainant sent me text messages about the items and I told her we would keep looking for them. She then texted to tell me that they were missing and should be in the house and accused us of taking items from the house. We found the necklace at the foot of the bed in the master bedroom two days later. I texted her a photo and asked her to call me, that we needed to discuss some things.
I had come to the conclusion that there was a trust issue with us and the complainant. I decided to cancel the contract. We did not charge the family for our service and absorbed all the expenses for our two weeks of work.
After talking to the family I told them I would take the time to sit down with them and work out any problem they had. She told me she would talk to her sister and call me back. I'm waiting for the return phone call.
I would appreciate if she would remove my name and not slander my name or business.

None of this information is accurate. And yes there have been multiple complaints within the industry related to this particular business. We have researched since we had to find another company. We have also learned that he is not the owner, but represented himself to us in that manner. We were naïve, not checking insurance bonding or any references that we should have checked. We have since found additional missing items and Tommy stated that he did have items that he would be returning to us. He failed to add that to his statement. He never asked us, as the property owners to take anything away from the house to sell it at another one of his estate sales. That would not make good sense being that we were having a sale of our own. We have also since filing this complaint, found a box which we believe was an employee's stash that they were taking of their own. It was hidden in one of the bathrooms behind the toilet. We want our experience with this company known as to not have someone else face this after a death of a parent and having to trust someone to do an estate sale because of not having any experience In this business.
