insurance was billed, and the billing office did receive some rejections from the insurance company, but they were regarding the accuracy if the member IS number not out of network benefitsScott & White did not respond to the medical group on future dates of service, so the claim was never moved to patient status, and continued to be in submitted status with Scott & White. As the claim status was being worked, the patient's daughter's claim (a different account number) was identified as out of network after a call was made to Scott & White, and the account was moved to patient status in November As a guarantor received a bill from this older date of service. The medical group realizes its error and is willing to adjust the accounts accordingly: aAccount - $has been adjusted, leaving a balance of $340 bAccount - $1,has been adjusted, leaving a balance of $1,($of the amount was from a previous deductible balance).
