Review: I live in Rhode Island, on Wednesday June 18th 2014, my car broke on the highway, the company HE Automotive came to towe my and brought it to its business location on 271 Rugar Street, Plattsburg NY which is one excit away thus 3.5 miles distance.

The garage owner said that my gasket was broken and that he would charge me $3800 to repair it. I told him that I needed to check my warranty because I didn't had that extra money and get back to him. By Friday June 20th I told him that I didn't had a warranty and that I would come get the car to have it towed to RI on Saturday 06/21. I specifically asked him how much it would be for the towe service of 06/19 and the storage, he said $240. On Saturday I went there to pay for the service and have my car towed by another company to RI. The owner said that since I wasn't repairing the car in his garage, and that I shopped around for better prices he would charge me $640 instead of the $240 and that he wanted cash only, he said that he had "things to do" and would be back on monday on which he is expecting another $200 for keeping the car in storage. I told him that this was not the agreement, he couldn't keep my car purposely to inflate the bill and he couldn't change his price from original agreement amount of $240 to $640 just because he is not getting the business of $3800; it's against the law, he responded that he didn't care and left.

I called the police of Plattsburg NY who advised me to file a complaint with the Revdex.coms and who also told me that he had no right in keeping the car.

I called the owner about 20 times and he refused to pick up his phone.

I work full time about 50 hours weekly and I'm a single mom, I don't have time to take time off work again to go all the way there on Monday which is 5 hours away from RI but yet that's what I will be obligated to do again on Monday 06/23rd and he said he would charge me another $200 on top of the $640 so he litteraly went from $240 to inflate the invoice to $840.Desired Settlement: I'm willing to pay the agreed price of $240 but not the $840, more importantly I need this owner to release my car to the towe truck company because he is illegally keeping my car to continue inflate my bill by charging me daily storage.

Ms. [redacted]'s complaint is not factual and without merit as documentation in the

form of signed work orders, tow invoice and phone logs (to be fowarded upon request)

will clearly show.

On June 18111 2014 at 1:53 p.m. Jeep Liberty plate # [redacted] R.I. was towed in to

H.E. Automotive at the request of the operator [redacted] (using the same address as

the complainant.) The vehicles engine had been seriously overheated and was inoperable.

Special equipment (fl at bed roll back truck) was dispatched as required to transport 4WD

I AWD vehicles. Charges for this service remain unpaid .

Her total bill to date for towing and diagnostic work, which was accomplished in

the presence of the operator [redacted] (towed in 1:53 p.m. finished 6: 10p.m.)

remains unpaid: Totals:

$245 flat bed tow charge

$225 diagnostic work I labor and

To date no storage has been charged or received as claimed in complaint.

In fact customer, in what I believe is a ruse to avoid commencement of storage charges,

has been corresponding daily (sometimes several times in one day and at night on

emergency line) with requests for different pricing (' repair just head gasket', 'complete

rebuild', ' install used engine that customer will supply' etc) and most recently a directive

to tow the vehicle to R.I. approximate ly 660 RIT miles. However no form of payment has

been forth coming.

In short Ms. [redacted]'s vehicle can be retrived by her anytime she wishes upon cash I

guaranteed funds payment of $556.20 or delivered to R.I. upon prepayment ( by bank

check) $1833,This price includes all charges to date, flat bed towing from Plattsburgh N

Y to Atlantic Auto Repair in Cranston R I inclusive of tolls and fuel costs.

If Ms. [redacted] does not timely arrange for PIU and payment of this vehicle storage

fees in the amount of $60 per day will be levied.

** The only attempt to retrieve this vehicle occurred on Saturday June 20th 2014

when, upon [redacted]'s request, on call employee [redacted] was dispatched to

open the shop to release Ms.[redacted]'s vehicle. Customers arrived without any truck or

wrecker as stated and insisted that we must release the vehicle to them for approximately

$1 00 which [redacted] stated was all the money he had with him.

PS. On 7/1114 Ms. [redacted]'s vehicle was delivered to Atlantic Auto Repair shop as per

her instructions upon receipt of bank check of same date.
