Review: I have many complaints for this company. A few months ago I purchased 5 Gift Cards for massages. I gave a few to friends (who had issues scheduling with the company, and who also had therapists no show to appointments). We still had 3 in our possession and so I decided to redeem two and schedule a couple's massage for my husband's birthday. We received confirmation emails about the appointment. We arrived 10 minutes early and no one greeted us. This wasn't uncommon since they don't have a receptionist, just the therapists. After a few minutes one male therapist came out and said "HI." He immediately got on the phone with some one and made no effort to keep the conversation private. He said to the woman on the phone that her appointment was here, and asked if she had made arrangements for someone to cover it. This was only 5 minutes before our appointment was supposed to start! He talked to her for a few minutes, then got off the phone and said [redacted] was supposed to call in a replacement since she was "sick" but he hadn't heard back to see if the replacement was coming. We tried to be patient with him, but he could tell we were frustrated. He then said to my husband "Do you want a beer? I just cracked one open, but realized I had an appointment, so it's just sitting in the fridge, it's all yours!" We were shocked, why would we want a beer? We asked if there was anyway we could schedule for sometime that night, and he was unsure. He did try to get us in later that night, but he only gave us 10 min notice and we were in the middle of seeing a movie. The following Monday I contacted [redacted], who offered no apologies and just said that massage therapists are hard to keep around, since they are independently contracted. I wanted a refund, she said her receptionist could refund the $90 (price of 3 of the gift cards) to my card. I gave them my card information. I waited 2 weeks, and there was still no refund, so I requested a check. She gave one to me, but it bounced. I still need a refund.Desired Settlement: I'm requesting a refund of $90, plus the $30 returned check fee that our bank gave us. In cash only. I'm hoping to get it from the owner asap, but my hopes aren't high.
