Tell us why here...To whom it may concern, [redacted] [redacted] came in on 4/**0,318 miles we verified the customers concern we found the header panel seal leaking water we ordered the part. during the service visit we provided the customer with a rental car at no expense to him for 3 days. Customer returned */**2,399 miles for the repair we again provide the customer with a rental for another 3 days in order to complete the repair and confirm there is no more water entering into the vehicle. we had the vehicle re cleaned and returned to vehicle to the customer. [redacted] called and stated his vehicle was still leaking water aging in august. He returned 8/* we kept the vehicle for a total of 12 days and again provided him with a rental. we were unable to duplicate his concern however we went ahead and installed new ditch rail roof molding in order to eliminate any possible future issues. customer took his vehicle after we had it re cleaned to remove the stains. Customer returned 9/**8.890 miles  stating he was still leaking. We had the vehicle 8 days total with the entire headliner down and we sourced an outside company to verify there was no water leaking under "normal" conditions, we re cleaned his stains again and returned the vehicle. All visits were at no cost to the customer  including 26 total days off a rental car we covered, I have attached a copy off the owner manual stating if there is direct water sprayed on the side off the sky slider it will leak inside the vehicle. We explained the proper care off the sky slider roof to our customer. He returned 9/** showing us more water stains after he told us he sprayed it with direct pressure on the side off the roof slider. We stressed the importance off proper cleaning and not to spray direct water where he was. [redacted] is causing his water to enter the vehicle by not following the direction that are outlined in the owners manual. Jeff R[redacted]Service Manager

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

That is incorrect I told them  I "rinsed it down with a hose to get bugs off" they asked if car wash or  high pressure I said NO residential garden hose. They proceeded to ask if I sprayers it up under the roof I told them no not at all and it took all but few seconds to have water penetration he couldn't believe it said he stated that he "sprayed it with water for hours and took it to car wash u see high pressure and couldn't get it to leak" I then asked the question he couldn't answer "What happens when it rains for three four days or better am I supposed to bubble wrap it" he had no response and I left now I see his statement which is a LIE and its clear they will not rectify this situation

Review: I purchased, financed through [redacted], a 2014 Jeep Compass from Champion Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Gulfport, MS on April **, 2013. I drove the car in the local area until June **, 2013 at which time I began a drive from Mississippi to New York with a planned stop in Bowie, MD. The reason for the drive is that I'm an active duty Marine, been on active duty for 22 years, and I had orders to change duty stations from Mississippi to California. I bought the Jeep purposely because it is 4X4 and would suit my needs in upstate NY weather. When I bought the vehicle in Mississippi it had been driven 8 miles. The odometer was at approximately 2200 miles when I departed Mississippi on June **, 2013 en route to New York. I arrived in Bowie, MD on Jun ** with approximately 3100 miles on the odometer. On Jun **, 2013 I drove to Philadelphia to attend a gospel concert. While driving back to MD the red oil light and the check engine light came on in the vehicle. Assuming I needed an oil change I took the vehicle to Jiffy Lube in Bowie, MD the next day Jun **, 2013. They changed the oil and noted that the arrival oil level was good and that the check engine light was illuminated. I left Jiffy Lube and both of the lights were still on I figured the dealership would have to reset them. I completed my drive to Wappingers Falls, NY on June **, 2013. The lights were still illuminated but the car was mostly parked. My household goods arrived on July *, 2013 and checked into my new base on July *, 2013. After work, I drove to the Bronx and stayed overnight for the fourth of July and returned home the evening of July *, 2013. Driving back the vehicle started malfunctioning; it wouldn't accelerate and was making unusual noises. I made it home that night and took it to [redacted] Chrysler dodge the next day July *, 2013 about 6 days after my oil change. I checked the oil level and it was good prior to taking the vehicle to the dealership. Almost immediately the dealership suspected the vehicle was driven without oil. I dispute the claim. They reported to Chrysler MOPAR Warranty Company the damage to the engine was outside of warranty coverage. I believe this is a defect in the vehicle that should be covered by the warrantee and the defect was not caused by any abuse, neglect or unauthorized modification on my part. I only had the vehicle for 2.5 months prior to the oil and check engine lights came on and they remained on after the simple oil change performed by [redacted]. At no point was there case where there was no oil in the vehicle I suspect the oil pump failed and therefore was not circulating oil. I have not received a detailed reason for the denials of warranty accept the warranty company is standing by the findings of the dealership. I have asked for but have not received in writing any statements supporting the dealerships position as to why they feel the warranty coverage should not be honored. The vehicle has been in the shop now almost half as long as I have owned it.Desired Settlement: I want the dealership to reverse their decision to advise the Warranty Company to deny warranty repair coverage and for them to proceed with the repair of my vehicle. Also, to provide me with a loaner vehicle during the length of the repair. I've been out of pocket for a rental vehicle since this ordeal began and I am still making my car payments on the vehicle that's just sitting in the shop.
