Healing Source with Wendy Jensen LCSW

Im not sure why this person filed a complaint other than I have witnessed her file complaints against her employer when she did not get what she wanted
I did provide mental health services to Ms*** and her husband Mr*** in good faith that they would pay their bills on time and in full
They signed a consent to treatment that stated that they agreed to pay their bill in full and on time and that I reserved the right to add late fees if not paid in full and/or to send the bill to collections if it became delinquent Ms *** kept up with her payments Mr***, her husband fell behind on his payments and occasionally Ms*** paid them for him on her visits When they stopped coming to therapy, there was an outstanding bill for Mr*** of $ I sent several notices with no response Finally I sent a notice that I would not add on late fees if they would pay in full and they agreed to that However, they never paid that bill I gave them a huge break by not adding late fees or sending their balance off to collections because I liked them and they had reported struggles with finances They let that bill go unpaid for over one year In the meantime Ms***'s account came up showing an over payment by her insurance that left a $creditMs*** immediately began badgering me for that $ I explained to her that I needed her insurance company to audit that account and let me know if that was an over payment by them or by the client (Ms ***) I contacted her insurance company to request that audit and have not heard back from them I have kept Ms*** in the loop on this the whole time I have re-contacted her insurance company to request an expedited audit and hope to hear back from them soon As soon as find out if that money is due back to the insurance company or due to the client, it will be refunded Given that these clients refused to pay their $bill for over an year (they paid it one week ago, just before filing this complaint), I am reluctant to refund this money to Ms*** if her insurance company says it belongs to them It unlikely I would ever get it back from Ms***
I use a professional billing service and follow all ethical, HIPPA rules for billing and for confidentiality Ms*** failed to tell you the full story and that is unfortunate This matter will be resolved soon I am certainly not happy that she has taken this step but I guess thats the risk we take when working with mental health clients I hope this can be dismissed as unfounded and sour grapes from a dissatisfied and dishonest client Ive never had a Revdex.com complaint in years of business
