It is our understanding that a complaint ID #[redacted] has been filed against our company for laboratory testing services requested by the submitter's physician and provided for his son on October 19, 2014. We are confident the services...
performed were consistent with our mission statement in providing high quality laboratory medicine testing with a courteous and responsive service to our customers.On November 6, the complainant contacted our office questioning the reason he was being charged for testing on his son. After confirming the insurance information on file was correct and the claim was processed through his insurance, it was explained to him that the charges were billed to him based on the denial we received from his insurance and that the testing ordered by the physician was not covered under his contracted insurance plan. Further research indicated that the proper testing was performed and resulted for this patient based on the ordering physician's assessment of the patient’s condition at the time of the office visit. The complainant was offered the option to set up a payment plan to assist him in settling the account. At that time he advised that he was going to file a formal complaint with his insurance, his doctor, and Health Network Laboratories.
Although we understand that the complainant was not aware of the details of his insurance coverage, the services performed by our company were upheld to the shared values of quality patient care. Our staff of dedicated professionals works to ensure accurate, expert, cost-effective and timely clinical information for the treatment and medical management of patients. We value teamwork, quality, personal accountability, and honest communication in meeting the requirements of all our customers.
