Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. We have had various contractors involved in this house build and many deliveries from 4+ companies supplying us materialsThere have been so many mistakes combinedThe only one who hasn't made good on those mistakes is extreme, before or after the job was "completed." The stub out for my shower pan and tub were left un completed because they said it couldn't be done without the panThis isn't a question of my experience (he makes it sound like I think I'm some a+ grade house builder), this is a customer service issue and his ability was very misleadingMyself not having experience in construction for very long at all successfully installed my shower pan stub out without the panThe company the framed my house has worked with him for a long time, however he only does drywall for that company which I learned after extreme had already startedDaryl made himself look professional and able to do the work askedThere will be emails, the second has pictures In these pictures include all the dust they left, the piles of debris, clumps of drywall mud caked on doorways and the floorThe yellow scaffolding is mine, I let them use it and they left it covered in drywall dustThe picture of the pile of drywall, only the drywall is there messThe lumber is mine and is still good I just moved it there out of my way Regards, [redacted] And [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I have attached pictures of the floor and have also pasted below the email interactions between myself and Daryl.I appreciate that Daryl had a star Revdex.com rating, that is why we chose his company to do work in our home It is unfortunate that the work that was done on our kitchen floor was so poor I have attached the above photos so that you can see what we have been dealing with I have pasted the below emails between myself and Daryl so that you can understand our situation As you can read from our communications I have explained to Daryl in two emails and in my own home why I reached out to him when I did and why we do not want his company to rip up our floor again I do not understand why he continues to fight me on this when I have made myself very clear As I stated to him in my email the reason why I did not reach out to his company sooner is because we were so upset I understand that he had to come back a couple times after the job was completed but that was because tiles were uneven and there were a couple tiles installed smashed and stuck together with grout and there were also some scratched tiles Of course I would need to reach out to him to come back and try to remedy these issues and when I did he made me feel like I was being a pain, saying he can't keep coming out here and that he was losing money He stated in his rebuttal that there were no smashed tiles but you can see from the pictures there were After he tried to remedy the smashed tile the tile that was installed was so uneven you could see it by eye and he had to come back again Because of this, during the process we too lost money having to buy more tiles to fix these installation mistakes From the beginning we were concerned about the uneven tiles but unfortunately the floor was not checked for evenness before the tiles were all glued down; the evaluation of our floor being jacked in the basement and the level test came after this when it was already too late After the frustration with the uneven tiles and the smashed and scratched tiles, even though there were still several uneven tiles we wanted to be done with experience and accepted the job as completedWhen the floor cracked not weeks later we were so deeply upset over the whole experience that we just could not continue to deal with the issue at that timeAt this point the floor is so bad that we had to reach out to him It is starting to crack in other spots as well I do not think my email was rude as the work done on our floor is a disaster The reason I stated that we did not want his company to come back to our home is because of the installation experience: the after the fact uneven floor inspection, the smashed tile with grout, the scratches, the uneven tiles We are not confident that he can fix it, last time there was a whole section of uneven tiles by the basement door he said they could rip them up and put them back but if they were still uneven then there was nothing more that could be done; of course they will come out the same way if they are installed exactly the same way At this point what we would accept is a refund of the installation cost which was $1, and we would also like you to reimburse us for the tile that we purchased since it is ruined and we will no doubt have to pull it all up to have the job redone correctly which was $for a total of $2, When Daryl came to my home to inspect the floor nobody "started in on him" We were very cordial to him and allowed him to inspect his work and take pictures We provided him with the receipts for the tiles we purchased and a copy of our original agreement The third party that he referred to was my dad When he got down on his hands and knees he was pointing out concerns we had to DarylDaryl also had another party with him whom I've never met We are nice people we did not "gang up" on him He even stated himself that he would not be happy with the floor When my husband told him to leave it was after the inspection when he said that he would not refund us and that we could take it through the legal system, my husband told him to leave because at that point there was nothing more that could be said Daryl stated that in his rebuttal that it was clear that our floor had been jacked up, as I stated in my email our floor has not been touched since their company was at my home and that I would not even know where to begin with that kind of undertaking When he was in my home he could see for himself that nothing was done after they were last here It is clear that my floor is now cracking because the floor was never leveled before the tile was glued down and that it was unevenly done on top of that I hope that you can understand why at this point we would like a refund and would not like them to do any more to our floor.Regards,1st email sent: Hello Daryl, I've tried to contact you and I left you a voicemail message I wanted to let you know that the work that was done on our kitchen floor was a disaster I have attached some photos for you so you can see what has resulted from a very rushed and poor job Not weeks after completion did our kitchen floor crack in half We are very disappointed as we have spent all of our savings hoping to have a quality job done I know throughout the process that we had many concerns the whole way through and this has justified those concerns I know that you kept telling us that our floor was uneven when we expressed our concerns about the tiles being uneven, however, as the expert you should have advised us of this before all the tiles we purchased were glued down We would have appreciated a proper consultation so that the job could have been done right even if that did mean that we would have needed to spend extra to get our floor level for proper installationWe are not experts, that is why we put our trust into you- the professional This situation NEEDS to be rectified and I wanted to reach out to you before we took the next step which would be reaching out to the Revdex.com and small claims court I know that you are passionate about your business and care about the work that you are putting out there so this is what we would like: We do not want you your company to come back into our home so we would like a refund for the cost of installation which was $1, and we would also like you to reimburse us for the tile that we purchased since it is ruined and we will no doubt have to pull it all up to have the job redone correctly which was $for a total of $2, If I do not hear back from you within the next couple of business day I will be forced to take the above mentioned actionsPlease do the right thing and save us both the aggravation of a lawsuitThank you, Daryl's Response:Good afternoon , I did get a voicemail left on Friday, today is Monday, I'm sorry I have not had time to return your call So, lets get things straight hereFirst off, this was far from a rushed job as we spent times the allotted time figured to do this job for you, just to do things the way you wanted them doneI did a lot of extra work at NO COST to you as you had no extra money for anythingIf you had issues with your floor weeks after completion then why have you waited 4-months to contact me??? I showed you in the basement where the floor had been jacked up previously and also showed you with a straight edge that your floor was over an inch and a half outta level in a foot span, we did all we could to make that floor as even as possible, that’s a very old house I went above and beyond to help you, I lost money on your jobI also came back a couple different times after completion trying to make you happyThe last time I came there I showed you how uneven the floor is and also showed you the floor jacks in the basementThere is NO WAY those tile would have cracked unless someone jacked up on the floor, they don’t just break like thatI am 100% professional just as I was when you had concerns I was there to walk you through the process Now lets get to the repair of your floor, I'm sorry to hear that you do not want my company in your home, we all treated your home as our own, nothing was rushed, left dirty or out of order, we actually cleaned your home while cleaning up as areas need it The first thing to do is find out what cracked your floor as tile doesn’t just “crack” on its ownI do have a year guarantee on our labor and would be more that happy to come look at the situation I do not just refund someone because they make an accusation of faulty work, I need to see and address what the situation may beFor all I no someone could have tried jacking the jacks in basement to level the floor and that would have definitely caused cracks If you would like me to come and see what can be done then lets set a date, if you do not want me back in your home for some unknown reason then I cant help youAs you stated, lets do the right thing and try rectifying the issue Thanks Daryl H, PresidentRGA Extreme Renovations, LLCMy Resonse:Hello Daryl, I appreciate you getting back to me The reason that I did not reach out to you sooner about the floor is because we were so upset The reason I said the job was rushed was because at the time you were starting a very large job and you had expressed that you wanted to finish ours before starting that one even though I know you had to start that while still working on oursI understand that you had to come back a couple times after the job was completed but that was because tiles were uneven and there were a couple tiles installed smashed and stuck together with grout and there were also some scratched tiles After you tried to remedy the smashed tile the tile that was installed was so uneven you could see it by eye and you had to come back again Because of this, during the process we too lost money having to buy more tiles to fix these installation mistakes From the beginning we were concerned about the uneven tiles but unfortunately the floor was not checked for evenness before the tiles were all glued down; the evaluation of our floor being jacked in the basement and the level test came after this when it was already too late After the frustration with the uneven tiles and the smashed and scratched tiles, even though there were still several uneven tiles we wanted to be done with experience and accepted the job as completedWhen the floor cracked not weeks later we were so deeply upset over the whole experience that we just could not continue to deal with the issue at that time I never accused you of not treating our home as your own, the reason I stated that we did not want your company to come back to our home is because of the installation experience: the after the fact uneven floor inspection, the smashed tile with grout, the scratches, the uneven tiles We are not confident that your guys can fix it, last time there was a whole section of uneven tiles by the basement door you said they could rip them up and put them back but if they were still uneven then there was nothing more that could be done; of course they will come out the same way if they are installed exactly the same way Our floor has not been touched since you were last here and it certainly has not been jacked up...truthfully I wouldn't even know where to begin with that undertaking I am ok with you coming back to evaluate the floor so that you can see for yourself that our floor was not jacked and that it was the lack of consultation and installation that caused the issue I do want to rectify this issue so lets set a date when you are available come over and evaluate the floorWe are available after 6:p.m Monday through Friday and anytime during the weekend Let me know what's best for youThank you, Daryl's email to me after he came into our home:Good afternoon , After our meeting in your home yesterday it is quite obvious of what caused the damage to your floorThe crack is directly above the floor joist in the basement as I showed you when I was there I stated to you that I am willing to work with you and try to evaluate what the problem was and to try fixing the issue All you are focusing on is a refund that’s almost $more than I was even paid to do the job, not trying to fix the issue The job was completed the second week of September and you are claiming this crack appeared weeks later, it has now been months since it was completed and you just contacting me with this issue I told you I have a year guarantee on my work and I would do whatever needed to be done to fix the problem once we resolve “how” the floor got cracked Now, I received the Revdex.com complaint that you submitted with the accusations the same as in your emailsI did come back a couple different times as I stated you did not have to pay me until you were 100% satisfied There was a few scratched tiles from moving your appliances back in place, something my guys shouldn’t have done but did so you didn’t have to and it resulted in the tiles getting scratched, so we fixed that The uneven tile by the basement door are from the 3/inch hump you have from the floor support directly underneath the doorway, we redid those tiles with you and your husband present and showed you why they did that, at that time you accepted the job and paid me I have been in business for over years and this is the first time anyone has ever gone to such extreme measures as I have gone above and beyond to help you Maybe if you focused on the real issue of fixing your floor instead of just wanting someone else in there at my expense things would have worked out better Daryl H, PresidentRGA Extreme Renovations, LLC

Called business and spoke with MrH [redacted] , he stated that he did contact the consumer and advised him that he was dealing with deaths of employees family and other jobs and had not heard back from the sub contractors for estimates The consumer was very unconcerned with the issues He needed multiply estimates and I was trying to contact different sub contractors for his issue If he did not want to wait, he could have called someone else for his issues

Good morning,
Lets start by saying I pride my company on customer satisfaction, I have a star Revdex.com rating along with a star certified Home Advisor rating with hundreds of satisfied customers, this one is a first for meI have tried reasoning with these customersI went back to
the job a couple different times after job was completed to do any repairs they requested before I collected paymentI always make sure my customers are satisfied with our finish product before collecting final payment. The tiles we went back and replaced were scratched from moving their appliances back into place, which at this time I wish my guys would have just let them do it themselves as that's how they got scratched (this was not our obligation), there was never any smashed or broken tileThey also has a couple uneven tiles in a entryway due to a hump in the existing floor, this is a very old house In this area we pulled the tiles back up, cleaned the thin set back to substrate and showed customer with a straight edge why the tiles were doing this, they observed and accepted the job and paid me upon the replacement of those tilesThe hump was not visible with the existing tile as the tile was ceramic with rounded corners and quarter inch grout lines helping blend tile together. This floor tile they purchased is porcelain square edge and they requested only eighth inch grout lines that makes anything that's not laying absolutely flat show a bit of unevenness from tile to tileThe industry standard has allowances for this, I am in the process in getting those standards in writing to verify this as well.
They also requested the tiles be layed at a degree angle, opposite of the existing floor which I did at no extra charge as they made it clear they had no extra money for anything else.
I was contacted by Miss *** via phone on Fe8th in the afternoon and then again Feb9th via email approx10:15am with rude messages saying the job was a disaster and the floor cracked less than weeks after completion which would have been the second week in October This is the first I have heard from them since they were satisfied and paid me in September The emails did not ask for me to fix or help find out what caused this to happen, it was just a demand for 100% refund of labor plus the cost of tile that they purchasedShe also stated she did not want my company back in her house, just wanted cash compensation for the crackI advised Miss *** that we do not just refund customers on allegations of faulty work and that I have a guarantee on the labor and would be more that glad to help assist in the findings of what caused the problem and fix the floor once resolvedAt that time Miss *** agreed to a home / job inspection that was set for Tuesday Feb17th at 3:30pm at which time she had her, her husband and another individual there when I showed upRight away they started right in on me, saying I'm the professional and continued to badger me while I was thereThe other guy also actually got on his hands and knees and was rubbing the floor saying there was a 1/to 1/inch step between some tiles and did nothing but put down my company and demanded a refund plus cost of tilesAs you can clearly see in the photos, the crack goes in a straight line across the floorso I asked to go into the basement to see the underside of the floorThe crack is perfectly in line with a floor joist, I have pictures to show thisI showed them all this and stated that tile does not just crack on its own for no reason, something has to cause this to happenwe went back upstairs and put a straight edge across crack, the crack is actually in a low spot of the floor, that proves the floor had to of been jacked up to cause the crack, I have plenty of pictures to back this up I explained that I was going to the Tile shop where they purchased the tile to consult with the reps and would be back in touch with them to try executing a solutionOnce I stated that, Miss *** and the third party that was present stated that all they want is money, no resolution, no repair, nothing, just money compensation, at which time I told them my hands were tied and there was nothing I could doHer husband proceeded to tell me to get out of their house, the conversation was over
This is a statement from her first email to me on Feb9th "This situation NEEDS to be rectified and I wanted to reach out to you before we
took the next step which would be reaching out to the Revdex.com and
small claims court. I know that you are passionate about your business and care
about the work that you are putting out there so this is what we would like: We
do not want you your company to come back into our home so we would like a
refund for the cost of installation which was $1,and we would also like you
to reimburse us for the tile that we purchased since it is ruined and we will no
doubt have to pull it all up to have the job redone correctly which was $
for a total of $2,161.68. If I do not hear back from you within the next couple
of business day I will be forced to take the above mentioned actions. Please do
the right thing and save us both the aggravation of a lawsuit."
I'm very frustrated with this situation, I went above and beyond to help this young couple and actually lost money trying to give them what they wanted and making them happyThis job only paid $1,and I had eight man days invested before returning to do their repairs on different occasions as they were not present the first time we were there doing requested repairsThe second trip back they were both there, observed the situation, acknowledged it and final paid meIf this floor cracked in October why am I just getting contacted in Feb??? Im not sure if this third party was another contractor or maybe a parent but I do NOT appreciate being ganged up on by someone as all I was doing once again is trying to help these people costing me more time and money

My company was hired by *** *** to install insulation ($7,650.00), sheetrock ($8750.00) and rough plumbing and electric at a time and material basis estimated at $with a signed contract on 4/22/for $$21,400.00The drawings for the plumbing and electric were hand drawn by ***'s
husband ***, who was on the job daily to oversee his desired completionsThe ONLY issue we had during the electric and plumbing rough was that *** wanted a way switch in the bedroom so they could have a switch by the door and one by the bed, that was changed and installed with gang boxes so the can lights in bedroom and ceiling fan worked off their own separate switchesThe plumbing and electrical BOTH were inspected ad passed before insulations and sheetrock were started. The day we were scheduled to finish the project I received a phone call from *** (very belligerent and swearing and threatening not to pay me) because he claimed the work we did was not "up to code" even though everything we did passed all inspections and done in a very clean and professional mannerMy company actually remove completed sheetrock, had both inspectors come back to house and verify that ALL WORK PASSED CODE.***s "real issue" was that he wanted switches in the bedroom, for can lights, for ceiling fan and another for ceiling fan lightMy company DID NOT provide the ceiling fan or install any of the finish so we would have no idea if the fan even had a light in it as can lights were installed in bedroom ceilingI explained to ***, my contract was with her not *** and after his rude phone call I refused to have any dealings with him and dealt directly with *** to complete our job.We reinstalled the sheetrock that was removed for inspectors and had to retape finish sheetrock (at my expense) and the job got sanded out and completed per contract.*** asked me to do ADDITIONAL work to install the switches the way *** wanted it and was willing to pay me extra as the electric and plumbing were done on a time and material basis, at that time I explained to her that I could not do any ADDITIONAL work as *** had made it way to hard to work there*** totally understood, we shook hands and she paid me for the balance due on the project. The OMLY thing my company was locked into was the insulation and sheetrock, the rest was time and materialI never even new there was any kind of issue until I received this noticeThe switch in bedroom was the ONLY issue ever and if he had to hire someone else or do it himself the that's totally on him, he had all the opportunity in the world on a daily basis to have the gang box removed and a gang box installed, that was his mistake to not have switches there.I would like to counter this complaint now and request that I be paid for the removal of sheetrock and refinishing as it cost me labor and materials to do the repairsThe total of my complaint for labor and materials is $

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I have attached pictures of the floor and have also pasted below the email interactions between myself and Daryl.I appreciate that Daryl had a star Revdex.com rating, that is why we chose his company to do work in our home. It is unfortunate that the work that was done on our kitchen floor was so poor. I have attached the above photos so that you can see what we have been dealing with. I have pasted the below emails between myself and Daryl so that you can understand our situation. As you can read from our communications I have explained to Daryl in two emails and in my own home why I reached out to him when I did and why we do not want his company to rip up our floor again. I do not understand why he continues to fight me on this when I have made myself very clear. As I stated to him in my email the reason why I did not reach out to his company sooner is because we were so upset. I understand that he
had to come back a couple times after the job was completed but that
was because tiles were uneven and there were a couple tiles installed
smashed and stuck together with grout and there were also some scratched
tiles. Of course I would need to reach out to him to come back and try to remedy these issues and when I did he made me feel like I was being a pain, saying he can't keep coming out here and that he was losing money. He stated in his rebuttal that there were no smashed tiles but you can see from the pictures there were. After he tried to remedy the smashed tile the tile that was
installed was so uneven you could see it by eye and he had to come back
again. Because of this, during the process we too lost money having to
buy more tiles to fix these installation mistakes. From the beginning
we were concerned about the uneven tiles but unfortunately the floor was
not checked for evenness before the tiles were all glued down; the
evaluation of our floor being jacked in the basement and the level test
came after this when it was already too late. After the frustration
with the uneven tiles and the smashed and scratched tiles, even though
there were still several uneven tiles we wanted to be done with
experience and accepted the job as completed. When the floor cracked not
weeks later we were so deeply upset over the whole experience that we
just could not continue to deal with the issue at that timeAt this point the floor is so bad that we had to reach out to him. It is starting to crack in other spots as well. I do not think my email was rude as the work done on our floor is a disaster. The reason I stated
that we did not want his company to come back to our home is because of
the installation experience: the after the fact uneven floor
inspection, the smashed tile with grout, the scratches, the uneven
tiles. We are not confident that he can fix it, last time there
was a whole section of uneven tiles by the basement door he said they
could rip them up and put them back but if they were still uneven then
there was nothing more that could be done; of course they will come out
the same way if they are installed exactly the same way. At this point what we would accept is a refund of the installation cost which was $1,
and we would also like you to reimburse us for the tile that we
purchased since it is ruined and we will no doubt have to pull it all up
to have the job redone correctly which was $for a total of
$2,161.68. When Daryl came to my home to inspect the floor nobody "started in on him". We were very cordial to him and allowed him to inspect his work and take pictures. We provided him with the receipts for the tiles we purchased and a copy of our original agreement. The third party that he referred to was my dad. When he got down on his hands and knees he was pointing out concerns we had to DarylDaryl also had another party with him whom I've never met. We are nice people we did not "gang up" on him. He even stated himself that he would not be happy with the floor. When my husband told him to leave it was after the inspection when he said that he would not refund us and that we could take it through the legal system, my husband told him to leave because at that point there was nothing more that could be said. Daryl stated that in his rebuttal that it was clear that our floor had been jacked up, as I stated in my email our floor has not been touched since their company was at my home and that I would not even know where to begin with that kind of undertaking. When he was in my home he could see for himself that nothing was done after they were last here. It is clear that my floor is now cracking because the floor was never leveled before the tile was glued down and that it was unevenly done on top of that. I hope that you can understand why at this point we would like a refund and would not like them to do any more to our floor.Regards,1st email sent:Hello Daryl,I've tried to contact you and
I left you a voicemail message. I wanted to let you know that the work
that was done on our kitchen floor was a disaster. I have attached
some photos for you so you can see what has resulted from a very rushed
and poor job. Not weeks after completion did our kitchen floor crack
in half. We are very disappointed as we have spent all of our savings
hoping to have a quality job done. I know throughout the process that
we had many concerns the whole way through and this has justified those
concerns. I know that you kept telling us that our floor was uneven
when we expressed our concerns about the tiles being uneven, however, as
the expert you should have advised us of this before all the tiles we
purchased were glued down. We would have appreciated a proper
consultation so that the job could have been done right even if that did
mean that we would have needed to spend extra to get our floor
level for proper installationWe are not experts, that is why we put
our trust into you- the professional. This situation NEEDS to be
rectified and I wanted to reach out to you before we took the next step
which would be reaching out to the Revdex.com and small

I did get a voicemail left on Friday, today is Monday, I'm sorry I have not

So, lets get things straight hereFirst off, this was far from a rushed
job as we spent times the allotted time figured to do this job for you, just
to do things the way you wanted them doneI did a lot of extra work at NO COST
to you as you had no extra money for anythingIf you had issues with your floor
weeks after
completion then why have you waited 4-months to contact me???
I showed you in the basement where the floor had been jacked up previously
and also showed you with a straight edge that your floor was over an inch and a
half outta level in a foot span, we did all we could to make that floor as
even as possible, that’s a very old house
I went above and beyond to help you, I lost money on your jobI also came
back a couple different times after completion trying to make you happyThe
last time I came there I showed you how uneven the floor is and also showed you
the floor jacks in the basementThere is NO WAY those tile would have cracked
unless
someone jacked up on the floor, they don’t just break like thatI am 100%
professional just as I was when you had concerns I was there to walk you through
the process
Now lets get to the repair of your floor, I'm sorry to hear that you do not
want my company in your home, we all treated your home as our own, nothing was
rushed, left dirty or out of order, we actually cleaned your home while cleaning
up as areas need it
The first thing to do is find out what cracked your floor as tile doesn’t
just “crack” on its ownI do have a year guarantee on our labor and would be
more that happy to come look at the situation
I do not just refund someone because they make an accusation of faulty
work, I need to see and address what the situation may beFor all I no someone
could have tried jacking the jacks in basement to level the floor and that would
have definitely caused cracks
If you would like me to come and see what can be done then lets set a date,
if you do not want me back in your home for some unknown reason then I cant help
youAs you stated, lets do the right thing and try rectifying the issue
Thanks
Daryl H, PresidentRGA Extreme Renovations, LLCMy Resonse:Hello Daryl,I appreciate you getting back to me. The
reason that I did not reach out to you sooner about the floor is because
we were so upset. The reason I said the job was rushed was because at
the time you were starting a very large job and you had expressed that
you wanted to finish ours before starting that one even though I know
you had to start that while still working on ours. I understand that you
had to come back a couple times after the job was completed but that
was because tiles were uneven and there were a couple tiles installed
smashed and stuck together with grout and there were also some scratched
tiles. After you tried to remedy the smashed tile the tile that was
installed was so uneven you could see it by eye and you had to come back
When the floor cracked not
weeks later we were so deeply upset over the whole experience that we
just could not continue to deal with the issue at that time. I never
accused you of not treating our home as your own, the reason I stated
that we did not want your company to come back to our home is because of
the installation experience: the after the fact uneven floor
inspection, the smashed tile with grout, the scratches, the uneven
tiles. We are not confident that your guys can fix it, last time there
was a whole section of uneven tiles by the basement door you said they
could rip them up and put them back but if they were still uneven then
there was nothing more that could be done; of course they will come out
the same way if they are installed exactly the same way. Our floor has
not been touched since you were last here and it certainly has not been
jacked up...truthfully I wouldn't even know where to begin with that
undertaking. I am ok with you coming back to evaluate the floor so that
you can see for yourself that our floor was not jacked and that it was
the lack of consultation and installation that caused the issue. I do
want to rectify this issue so lets set a date when you are available
come over and evaluate the floor. We are available after 6:p.m
Monday through Friday and anytime during the weekend. Let me know
what's best for you.Thank you,Daryl's email to me after he came into our home:Good afternoon ,
After our meeting in your home yesterday it is quite obvious of what caused
the damage to your floorThe crack is directly above the floor joist in the
basement as I showed you when I was there
I stated to you that I am willing to work with you and try to evaluate what
the problem was and to try fixing the issue
All you are focusing on is a refund that’s almost $more than I was
even paid to do the job, not trying to fix the issue
The job was completed the second week of September and you are
claiming this crack appeared weeks later, it has now been months since it
was completed and you just contacting me with this issue
I told you I have a year guarantee on my work and I would do whatever
needed to be done to fix the problem once we resolve “how” the floor got
cracked
Now, I received the Revdex.com complaint that you submitted with the
accusations the same as in your emailsI did come back a couple different times
as I stated you did not have to pay me until you were 100% satisfied
There was a few scratched tiles from moving your appliances back in place,
something my guys shouldn’t have done but did so you didn’t have to and it
resulted in the tiles getting scratched, so we fixed that
The uneven tile by the basement door are from the 3/inch hump you have
from the floor support directly underneath the doorway, we redid those tiles
with you and your husband present and showed you why they did that, at that time
you accepted the job and paid me
I have been in business for over years and this is the first time anyone
has ever gone to such extreme measures as I have gone above and beyond to help
you
Maybe if you focused on the real issue of fixing your floor instead of just
wanting someone else in there at my expense things would have worked out better

I will start by saying yes, a call was made to the homeowner (the wife I was contracted with) to see what the issue was as when the job was completed there was NO issues and anything that was in question had been resolved by contractor, building code (plumbing)inspector, electrical inspector and homeowner before final payment was made. When I spoke to her on the phone it was all about the husband this and the husband that as he thinks he is some sort of contractor no it all but in reality he has no clue and has no previous knowledge of construction. I did make the comment "he needs to be knocked out" outta frustration and I no that was not the proper thing to do or say but he had pushed me to my limits to many times. Before final payment was made she (homeowner) did ask for me to do extra work and was willing to pay my company for that work but after the ongoing issue with husband my company rejected the offer to do more work for these clients and wife totally understood and she paid the balance due.As stated in previous reply, the electrical rough and the plumbing rough were on a time and material basis, meaning we get paid for whatever time the workers are doing work for the homeowner (as we did more than just electric and plumbing) that was not contracted and for the materials that were not part of the contracted work (drywall work was only item contracted). With this being said, homeowner actually was on the job on a daily basis, HE went through with a can of spray-paint and marked were he wanted outlets, switches and lighting. That's were everything was installed. The homeowner was responsible for the remaining electrical work and plumbing once we left jobsite. My company did a daily cleanup, everything was always kept in one pile as the homeowner was taking care of all debris and burying it out back. The pile of drywall outside the house was put exactly where the husband said to put it. I have done work with the Mennonite builder that built this house for the last 28 years and have NEVER had an issue not even once. This homeowner is just young and very inexperienced at what he is doing and now he is upset because I would not do anymore work for them.If we were to do ANY work to the electric or plumbing then it would be an added cost, so there is no way he can ask for anything back from this work. If we need statements from the builder, inspectors, supply company, employees or anyone else I can get that for you. There are many people involved in this project that are willing to speak in my behalf. I can have those available also to resolve this matter and put it to a close.Thank you

They change the whole design with perfect project and great results! I can`t believe that is my house! This people are gods of remodeling! Thank you for all!

Called business and spoke with Mr. H[redacted], he stated that he did contact the consumer and advised him that he was dealing with deaths of employees family and other jobs and had not heard back from the sub contractors for estimates.  The consumer was very unconcerned with the issues.  He...

needed multiply estimates and I was trying to contact different sub contractors for his issue.  If he did not want to wait, he could have called someone else for his issues.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I have attached pictures of the floor and have also pasted below the email interactions between myself and Daryl.I appreciate that Daryl had a 5 star Revdex.com rating, that is why we chose his company to do work in our home.
When the floor cracked not
4 weeks later we were so deeply upset over the whole experience that we
just could not continue to deal with the issue at that time. At this point the floor is so bad that we had to reach out to him.
At this point what we would accept is a refund of the installation cost which was $1,200
and we would also like you to reimburse us for the tile that we
purchased since it is ruined and we will no doubt have to pull it all up
to have the job redone correctly which was $961.68 for a total of
$2,161.68.  When Daryl came to my home to inspect the floor  nobody "started in on him".  We were very cordial to him and allowed him to inspect his work and take pictures.  We provided him with the receipts for the tiles we purchased and a copy of our original agreement.  The third party that he referred to was my dad.  When he got down on his hands and knees he was pointing out concerns we had to Daryl. Daryl also had another party with him whom I've never met. I hope that you can understand why at this point we would like a refund and would not like them to do any more to our floor.Regards,1st email sent:
Hello Daryl,
I've tried to contact you and
I left you a voicemail message.  I wanted to let you know that the work
that was done on our kitchen floor was a disaster.  I have attached
some photos for you so you can see what has resulted from a very rushed
and poor job.  Not 4 weeks after completion did our kitchen floor crack
We would have appreciated a proper
consultation so that the job could have been done right even if that did
mean that we would have needed to spend extra to get our floor
level for proper installation. We are not experts, that is why we put
our trust into you- the professional.  This situation NEEDS to be
rectified and I wanted to reach out to you before we took the next step
which would be reaching out to the Revdex.com and small
claims court.  I know that you are passionate about your business and
care about the work that you are putting out there so this is what we
would like:  We do not want you your company to come back into our home
so we would like a refund for the cost of installation which was $1,200
and we would also like you to reimburse us for the tile that we
purchased since it is ruined and we will no doubt have to pull it all up
to have the job redone correctly which was $961.68 for a total of
$2,161.68.  If I do not hear back from you within the next couple of
business day I will be forced to take the above mentioned
actions. Please do the right thing and save us both the aggravation of a
lawsuit.
Thank you,

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. We have had 6 various contractors involved in this house build and many deliveries from 4+ companies supplying us materials. There have been so many mistakes combined. The only one who hasn't made good on those mistakes is extreme, before or after the job was "completed." The stub out for my shower pan and tub were left un completed because they said it couldn't be done without the pan. This isn't a question of my experience (he makes it sound like I think I'm some a+ grade house builder), this is a customer service issue and his ability was very misleading. Myself not having experience in construction for very long at all successfully installed my shower pan stub out without the pan. The company the framed my house has worked with him for a long time, however he only does drywall for that company which I learned after extreme had already started. Daryl made himself look professional and able to do the work asked. There will be 2 emails, the second has pictures.
In these pictures include all the dust they left, the piles of debris, clumps of drywall mud caked on doorways and the floor. The yellow scaffolding is mine, I let them use it and they left it covered in drywall dust. The picture of the pile of drywall, only the drywall is there mess. The lumber is mine and is still good I just moved it there out of my way
