Eldery Mother ordered this, tried to return, they said she cant, only the possibility of an exchange. She doesnt know how to use computer...they dont have a catalog for their products. This company is a scam to Retirement communities. They target them. My Mom doesnt remember ordering and would put their box in cabinet. :( she just got anoyher once a year shipment and cant return. They are rude and unforgiving. HRL of Carson City NV recharged my credit card with out my permission I had been receiving a lot of anti aging offers in the mail when I had got in the mail Bio Stem pills, thought that it was interesting and decided to buy a 6 months supply of Bio Stem caplets. Tried them out and they seem to work but they also didn't. I didn't want to use them after about 4 bottles, leaving 2 months left when HRL decided to re-charged my credit card again for 119.93. I called and told HRL of Carson City NV. that I never ever authorized re-charging my credit card again. What they did was 100% unacceptable they sent me out a 6 months supply which I sent back as a result they black listed me so I cant even call to the company to try to resolve the problem was told that I should have never sent the pills back. I tried to challenge the order with my credit card company but HRL answered to the credit card company resulting in a charge back to my card. Now I have to pay 119.93 plus HRL happily keeps the 6 months supply and leaving me out of the picture please please do not even think about ordering with this company. I was very professional with all customer service reps even when I was being lied to when the company claimed to have recorded my conversation when at the time of the original purchase that they would recharge my card again. I told the (male) customer service to provide this so called conversation and guess what HRL never did. All communication has to occur between the financial institution and the company from that point forward. After researching the account, I do see the customer did in fact lose the chargeback. Since we do have the product and the customer did not get a refund, we have issued a refund as a courtesy. The customer is advised of the terms and conditions at the time of the purchase. I do see the original sales call was requested but the customer never called back to hear it. The refund will appear within 3-10 business days. I was placed on auto delivery without requesting auto delivery.In May 2015 I ordered a 12 month supply of NeuroPlus Component, paying by credit card. Refund requested but refused.I am writing this complaint on behalf of my father in law who is 81 years of age and is hard of hearing and suffers from slight dementia. In January 2015 he received a flyer from Health Research Laboratories (HRL) advertising "The Ultimate Heart Formula". He contacted the company by phone and purchased 12 bottles (1 year supply) and paid by [redacted]. At no time during the conversation was there any mention of automatic renewal or further orders. In December 2015 my father in law received a notice from [redacted] stating that there was a COD parcel awaiting his collection.When he went to the Post Office he found a parcel from HRL and that there was approximately $60.00 [redacted] to pay in duty. He did not want this product again so the Post Office offered to send the parcel back to HRL and he accepted this kind offer. He thought that was the end of the matter. Early this month he received his [redacted] statement and the following entry was on it:Dec 10 Dec 14 HRL*BETAROL8665200524 866-520-0524 NV $394.80 Foreign Currency - USD 279.95 Exchange Rate 1.410251.We immediately contacted HRL and was told by a very arrogant gentleman in Customer Services that they did not issue refunds but my father in law could get a credit against other products. He advised them he was not interested in other products, he just wanted his money refunded for this auto renewal shipment as he had returned the goods.They informed him rudely on the phone that the packing slip stated no refunds.My contention on behalf of my aged father in law is three fold; firstly that I would say that very few people read everything that is in a packing slip, secondly is why was he not advised about auto renewal when he placed his first order and lastly the HRL website states "Return Policy60 day money back guarantee. No questions asked!" The goods have been returned within the 60 days so why does HRL refuse to give an aged man his money back? Failed to tell me that product was priced in US funds. Literature came from Canadian address.I could have written a cheque and sent it to a Canadian address. I used a credit card and was charged in US dollars. When I called, they said that I should have asked. To make matters worse there was a tariff making the product twice the promised price.Desired SettlementI refused the shipment with the additional costs. I purchased 3 bottles of the Ultimate Heart Health Formula beginning of December which is supposed to be good for 3 months - I shouldn't receive any product until the beginning or middle of March at the earliest?I never used the first 3 bottles because it has acesulflame potassium in it which I am allergic to. Surprisingly I received another 3 bottle on Feb 18th which is before the 3 month mark. I called Feb 26th to cancel and they indicated that I couldn't return the 2nd shipment or get a refund back. On 3/28/15 I purchased Ultimate Heart Formula a 6 month supply plus a 6 month bonus supply FREE for $199.95 plus $7.95 S&H (a 12 month supply). This date 2/26/16 I was viewing purchases on my [redacted] card and found the amount $199.95 from URL which I did not recognize. I called the telephone number on the [redacted] statement and was told this was an automatic shipment (which I was not aware of). I had been told that I was locked in for renewal as a preferred customer but not that it would be sent automatically. I told them I did not want the shipment as I did not order it and was told that it had shipped and I could do nothing about it. I have not yet received it and I asked if I could return it for a refund and was told NO. I told them to cancel any more shipments and that I would contact the Revdex.com. Charges to my credit card without my approval. Will not refund my money.I found a charge on my credit card statement that I did not recognize nor had approved.I called my bank and discussed the issue with them. They said they could cancel my card, but I should maybe contact this company and they put me through to HRL. Apparently this happens often, many websites out there about HRL scams.I asked the person who answered to cancel the order, he said he couldn't because it had already shipped. The terms pop up in a window and advise them they are going to get free shipping as well. The customer can choose to take the autoship with the free shipping or click "No, thank you. I will pay for shipping." Which opts them out of the autoship promotion. It's very clear however, it is up to them to read these terms before placing their order. These same terms are also reiterated on the packing slip when the order is received. It is up to the customer to contact customer service if they do not wish to continue receiving product that they agreed to receive. We do strive for the highest customer service. In light of this, as a courtesy, we have issued a refund to the consumer. The refund should appear within 3-10 business days.
