This account was initially placed for billing in our office, but on the date that the consumer spoke with our representative, it had already been moved to collectionsThe account became eligible for credit reporting on 4/22/15, and was not paid to our office until 4/27/We feel this account
was correctly reported to the consumer's credit fileHowever, we have marked the account for deletion since it was paid within a week after becoming eligible for credit reportingThe consumer should note that it may take the credit reporting agencies (CRAs) up to days to fully remove this entry from his credit file

We received disputes from the consumer via the credit reporting agencies on 1/5/and 1/9/2015. At that time, we verified the consumer’s provided identity information against the client’s and marked the account as disputed. On 3/10/2015, we received
certified mail from the consumer requesting validation of the debt. We obtained an itemized bill from the client and sent that as validation to the consumer on 3/11/2015. On 2/11/2016, we received an additional letter from the consumer offering to settle the debt for an amount less than that owed. In this letter, the consumer stated “I am NOT disputing the validity or ownership of this account” (emphasis was included in original correspondence). We responded by letter to the consumer on 2/15/with a settlement counteroffer that had been approved by our clientThe consumer’s last correspondence to us on 2/11/directly contradicts the dispute he has set forth in this complaint

she can reject it but that is the law. Contact the credit bureaus and challenge the report and ask them to validate and when they do it is up to the credit bureaus how they handle our reply.

I am rejecting this response because:
 
My complaint is the company stated it was illegal to delete the account according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act and I know that statement in itself, is actually a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. The response from the credit agency does nothing to address the real complaint and what they said and did wrong.
