I have heard from Anthem's contractor--they apologized for the inconveniences and let me know that I would receive a $gift card in to weeksWhile I have yet to receive it, I consider my complaint

consumer serviceDue to changes brought about by the *** *** ***, all individual policies must be issued, renewed and changed as of January of every yearWith this in mind, all of the shopping, comparison and questions regarding coverage under individual health insurance are concentrated into a matter of a few monthsThis causes a massive increase in the volume of calls and written requests for information that we receiveDespite the challenges, we remain committed to monitoring and improving on our customer service. We regret the difficulties Ms*** has experienced in trying to reach our officeIt is never our intention to make it more difficult for our members to do business with AnthemWe will continue to monitor customer service performance, including speed to answer and first call resolution and will take the steps necessary to improve our performanceWe trust that future interactions with Ms*** will restore her confidence in our services. Dear Mr. [redacted] Thank you for your January 31, 2017, letter on behalf of Ms. [redacted]. I have the following information to offer in response to Ms. [redacted] concerns regarding her request for a premium refund. Our records indicate that Ms. [redacted] contacted us to cancel her coverage on...

September 16, 2016. In keeping with the terms of her benefit plan, her coverage was cancelled effective October 1, 2016. Ms. [redacted] indicated that she sent documentation regarding her enrollment with another insurer. Regrettably, the information did not reach the appropriate area for review. I have confirmed that Ms. [redacted] coverage is now cancelled effective September 1, 2016, as requested. A refund for $[redacted] was issued to her on February 11, 2017. We regret that this issue became a source of concern to Ms. [redacted] and for the difficulties she experienced in her efforts to resolve this matter. Our goal is to provide prompt and accurate services to our members at all times and we regret her recent experience. I hope the preceding information is helpful to you.
