that services can not be rendered at no cost or discounted cost to those individuals with that insuranceIt is our clinic policy and Medicare guidelines to communicate this clearly and review an ABN (Advance Beneficiary Notice) that clearly states these rulesThis was explained and he signed the document on 7/8/
We did provide a complimentary consultation, as there is no billable code for thisWe then proceeded to explain that in order for any form of examination or x-ray evaluation and subsequent treatment, these services would not be covered and they were to be his responsibilityThis was explained to him before we proceeded with any servicesTreatment and evaluation consisted of examination, x-ray interpretation, Therapeutic exercise instruction, and chiropractic adjustment treatmentAs there was no insurance coverage, the full amount was patient responsibility
