On 1-30-15, the machine was brought in for repairOur service ticket number 41402, model UHthe the problem of the machine will not run. The machine was repaired on 03-04-15. The cord reel assembly, brush roller, and belt were replaced. The customer was charged $125.97.
The cable reel is a new genuine Hoover product. Between 03-04-and 4-10-the machine was paid for, and picked up from our store On 4-10-the machine was brought back in. The problem was “cord reel won't retract and grinding sound, machine goes off and on.” We ran the machine for over minutes, and found the motor was defective. This problem is not caused by replacing the cord reel, or any service we did to the machine. ***'s Appliance is a Hoover Factory Authorized Warranty Center. As a courtesy to the customer, we contacted Hoover and see if they would replace the machine, as it is a year or less out of warranty. Hoover agreed to replace the machine. The replacement machine was a new in the box, equivalent model UH70935, to the original machine. The replacement machine arrived 5-28-15. The customer came into the store to pick up her machine on 5-29-15. She noticed the replacement model was not the same model as her original machine. She stated that she did not want the new replacement machine, and wanted to pick up her old machine instead. The confusion began once we brought up the wrong model machine. The wrong model machine, UH70935, was the same model as the new replacement machine. The customer started raising her voice, and we called the police While the police were here I went back through the customer's history to locate the model number of the original machine. I found the model and serial number of her original machine. I then located the machine in our store, and brought it to the customer. She said that is her machine. I then wrote her a check of $125.97, as a refund to the original repair bill.
