Review: This health agency claims to provide accurate and compassionate care, but failed on both accounts. My mother has mild dementia, severe cervical stenosis, and recently returned home from a skilled nursing facility with many new medications to manage. The RN assigned to assist her from from this company insisted there were two antibiotics my mother should be taking and then escalated the situation by arguing with her about it; told her she couldn't work with her, and left her a lone in her apartment feeling confused and upset. Shortly there after the agency called her to find out what happen they did not question the medication regiment or provide clarification instead they told her the nurse complained about her (stating she was verbally abusive and grabbed her computer). My mother told them the nurse was lying about what transpired and became more upset and they responded by telling her they were dropping her as a patient. I followed up first thing in the morning the next day with the agency and spoke with [redacted] in order to determine what medications my mother should be taking. I was assured they would investigate and get back to me that day. I did not receive a call back, but called them around 5 p.m. [redacted] then informed me that one of my mothers doctors ordered the second antibiotic. When asked how she determined that she told me the nurse who had been assigned to my mother told her. This was their investigation? I called my mother's doctors and none had ordered the 2nd antibiotic and had no idea where the nurse got the idea that she should be taking it. I informed [redacted] of my frustration and my findings which was the error was made by their nurse!This agency cannot be counted on to provide accurate information and appears to lack important protocols to ensure patients in their care receive correct medications. This agency did more harm than good and does not take ownership of their errors. Elderly ill patients deserve better!Desired Settlement: 1. The number for their director of patient care where complaints are to be made is incorrect on their literature and should be changed. It is listed as [redacted].2. The organization should be tasked to ensure a system is in place to ensure appropriate medication regiment tracking for their clients before they do real damage!3. This case should be shared at the highest levels of their corporate office and they should take a serious look at how they investigate patient complaints/incidents
