Review: In March of 2013 I was a patient of [redacted]. On March 20, a post and crown was placed in/on my tooth #29. In August of this year, I switched to another dentist because of ongoing mouth pain.

On September 10, I experienced a complete failure of the post and crown [redacted] had installed. The post broke and the crown was chipped in the mishap. I went to my new dentist to have repairs effected. The repair required that a new, steel post be installed and a temporary tooth be constructed. A new crown is also required.

On September 16, I contacted [redacted]'s office and requested a refund of monies paid for his original work. I spoke to his office staff, who insisted that a refund was unheard of. Later that evening, I spoke directly with [redacted]. I gave him the details as outlined above and he informed me that he would investigate my file and contact me the next day. On September 23, not having heard from the doctor, I left a message to have him contact me. On September 27, we experienced a day of "phone tag" initiated by [redacted] and ending with my leaving a message for him. On October 7, still not having spoken with the doctor, I called and left a request with [redacted], of his office staff, that the doctor contact me. As of this writing, still no contact with [redacted].Desired Settlement: I request that all monies paid in connection with work done on/to tooth #29 on March 20, 2013 be refunded: $1241.30 paid personally and $16.80 paid by Delta Dental on my behalf (for a total of $1258.10).

Response:

I spoke with [redacted] several times, and we agreed to meet in December. Due to Christmas and New Year's holidays, and then to January snowstorms, we rescheduled our meeting to January 9, 2014. We met, and amicably resolved our issue. [redacted] left my office in good spirits.
