On December 9, 2015 around 5:30
PM – Angel [redacted] received a phone call from a woman who said that her
daughter was downtown for a job interview and had no money. She mentioned that
she was under the impression that our parking garage would validate her ticket
and asked the supervisor to let...

her out at no charge. Angel kindly responded
that she could not just let her out of the garage without payment and that she
could take a credit card over the phone if need be. The woman over the phone
was not interested in doing that and demanded she call the manager; therefore,
the supervisor notified me (Nazret [redacted]) and I offered the same solution.
Further, she replied “you probably let out whoever you want” and hung up on the
supervisor. A few minutes later, the woman called back an asked for the
corporate office phone number and the supervisor provided her with the number
(317-655-[redacted]). Moments later, she called back
and accused the supervisor of giving her someone’s personal cell phone number,
and when the supervisor confirmed the phone number the woman just hung up on
her. I advised the supervisor if the customer came to the office and could not
pay the fee, to gather all of her information and I would send her an invoice
for the charge.  At 6:19 PM, the customer paid for
her parking at the ground floor pay on foot station located in the elevator
lobby. Her charge was $22.00 and she paid with two $20 bills. A few minutes
later, she pushed the help button and told our command center that our machine
shorted her change. The supervisor immediately went to the machine and found no
change stuck and no apparent issues with the machine. The woman tried showing
the supervisor a single $5 bill and five $1 bills.  Our record showed that
the machine dispensed three $5 bills and three $1 bills which was in fact, the
correct amount of change she was owed. Both change vaults were filled
with cash, and for her to claim she was shorted $8 would imply that something
was wrong with both change vaults which is highly unlikely and clearly not the
case as this has never happened since the equipment has been installed, and
there were no issues prior to and after this case. The supervisor let her know
to speak with the manager the following morning, but there was nothing she
could do at that time for her. By this time, the customer exceeded the 15
minute grace period to exit the garage; however, I advised the supervisor to
let her out to avoid further issues. The customer apologized to the supervisor
for her mother’s “craziness.” On December 10, 2015 – I received a phone call from the customer about her
being shorted change. I kindly explained to her what our system indicated and
before I could get to explaining further, she replied “I don’t really care about the specifics, but I was shorted $8.
Everything else sounds like your problem not mine.” Further, she stated “it is
just $8, I am really not tripping over $8, but that is fine you will be hearing
from me” and hung up on the manager. Unfortunately, this customer lost their credibility when they lied about not
having money to exit the garage. Our records prove that she was not shorted
change for the reasons mentioned above. Both the customer and her daughter have
called the office multiple times and displayed very poor professionalism by
hanging up on the supervisor and manager. When I Mark [redacted] arrived at work
in the corporate office on December 10, 2015, I had a very nasty message on my
voice mail from this person’s mother demanding someone return her call. I did
not return her mother’s call as I wanted to speak to the person involved. I
received a voice message from a [redacted] at 11:36 a.m. asking if I would
call her about being short change at one of our garages. When I tried speaking
to [redacted] she was very distracted with other conversations around her and said she
needed to go to class. I stated to her that I would not call her mother back,
as this did not involve her and I went on to say to her that the machine audit
tape displayed she received the correct about of change back, and an audit of
the machine the next morning revealed no shortages, and we have not had any
other compliant about the machine short changing customers. As soon as I stated
this [redacted], became very angry and called me stupid, and stated “how did you get your
position, since you are so stupid”, and why did you call me back if you cannot
refund my money, she went on to say that we were scamming people and then hung
the phone up on me.Between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.
on December 10, 2015, I had four missed calls and one voice message from [redacted]
mother when I was away for lunch. When I listened to the phone message it was
her mother calling me a coward and the she stated she would get to the bottom
of this.  I returned her call when I
returned from lunch and stated “this is the coward calling and I am not
discussing this issue with you as you were not involved. I went on to say, that
I would make this easy for her and give her my superiors’ phone number, and
told her she can call him, but he was going to tell her the same thing as I had
told her daughter. At 2:23 on December 10, 2015, I received a hung up call in
my office from the number [redacted]’s mother had been calling from earlier that day.We would have been more than
happy to refund her money if we had evidence of the shortage. I was not rude to
her as I was the one speaking to her and not Mark [redacted].

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Denison Parking claims that the alleged vandals threw the materials from the roof in the middle of the night. However, I drove through the alley no less than 12 hours later at 5 pm in the late afternoon the next day. There was nothing roped off, there were no cones to signal any work being done, and there was generally no warning as to the danger the company was clearly aware of. Since they admit that they noticed that the materials had been spilled and could cause damage to a passerby, it was their duty to clean it up and warn of the danger by making it clear the area was off limits. They did not do so. Because of this, it is their responsibility if damage occurs to someones vehicle because they did not take the adequate precautions in no less than 12 hours. Lastly, the insurance agent for Denison told me they filed a police report for the alleged vandalism, which I was told my sheriff's deputies at the police station was not true. I also attached an image of the location where the damage took place and directly thereafter. As is visible from the image, there were absolutely no warnings anywhere near the wet cement. Since the company was on alert since 7 am, as they stated, that means they had 10 hours from when I drove down the alley to make the area safe, which they failed to do.
Regards,
[redacted]

the business is still insulting my character and now making assumptions. What the business sent back does not mention the way Mark [redacted] treated me when I tried to speak with him about the situation. I did not lie about not having money to pay. I did not have the money, and had to wait an hour for a family member to bring me the money, as I've stated before. There was a mix up with the names, Mark [redacted] and Mark [redacted]. I would like a formal apology from Mark [redacted] and to speak with Mark [redacted] about the incident, since he has yet to hear my point of view.
Regards,
