Heart and Soles Reviews (3)

Needing a new pair of shoes and having only lived in [redacted] a short time and knowing nothing about the various shops I went to Heart and Sole on Fort Street: an expensive [$218] and unwelcome experience The shoes that I picked were perfectly comfortable when I tried them in the storeIt was only when I wore them afterwards that the shoes gradually became more and more uncomfortable until I had to stop wearing themI finally worked out what seemed to be the problem: when walking, the tongues of the shoes bent with the feet but then did not straighten out properly afterwards so that near the base of the tongues there were dips in the tongues which pressed against the feet, getting more and more uncomfortable with time Taking the shoes back to the shop I was told that because I had worn them the shop would not be able to resell them so that they would not allow me to return themIf I had not worn the shoes but somehow managed to discover their problem the shop would presumably have allowed me to return them as they could have resold them even though they knew there was a problem with themI would assume that normally in this case the shop would return the shoes to the manufacturer who would take the loss

I bought a pair of shoes for $*** and I admit I got a scuff mark on one side the owner said he would try to remove the scuff mark but obviously he just made an attempt, not knowing that it would make an even bigger, more visible discoloration mark And he did not seem to care about my point of view Thus I was not impressed and will never recommend this store

Needing a new pair of shoes and having only lived in [redacted] a short time and knowing nothing about the various shops I went to Heart and Sole on Fort Street: an expensive [$218] and unwelcome experience.

The shoes that I picked were perfectly comfortable when I tried them in the store. It was only when I wore them afterwards that the shoes gradually became more and more uncomfortable until I had to stop wearing them. I finally worked out what seemed to be the problem: when walking, the tongues of the shoes bent with the feet but then did not straighten out properly afterwards so that near the base of the tongues there were dips in the tongues which pressed against the feet, getting more and more uncomfortable with time.

Taking the shoes back to the shop I was told that because I had worn them the shop would not be able to resell them so that they would not allow me to return them. If I had not worn the shoes but somehow managed to discover their problem the shop would presumably have allowed me to return them as they could have resold them even though they knew there was a problem with them. I would assume that normally in this case the shop would return the shoes to the manufacturer who would take the loss.
