Let me start by saying my family has been to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge many timesWe have stayed at a variety of cabins over the years, and have NEVER had a problem...until this company
First impression: location is SUPERB! Exterior has some large chunks removed from the wooden logsInside, everything was stickyEverythingFeet stuck to floorsI opened the drawer to the coffee table and got some syrupy substance on my handTried the next drawer, same resultThere were dark splatters all over the walls, behind the stove, sinks, surrounding the tubs, and behind/around toiletsThere was toothpaste on the mirror, shelf, and covering the wall next to the sink But worst of all, there was BLACK MOLD on the floor in front of the shower, around the toilets, inside the shower, on the ceilingeverywhereThe back porch was completely covered in mildew which smelled so bad it made soaking in the hot tub unbearableOur swim suits reeked of mildew when we left from the hot tub itself
The cabin had wires everywhere for the television and remotes to operatewith no instructions for anythingWe spent forever trying to turn on the TV volumeSo many things are broken in this cabinthe grill handle, cue sticks, refrigerator door won't shut well, couch and chair, screens don't fit and are bentThe list is endless
And the hot tub...there was a white film covering when we arrived (soap?...) that made bubblesWe called the office, as there are signs EVERYWHERE threatening extra charges for EVERYTHING (soap, hot tub cover, not putting dishes away, staying until 10:01, using the fireplace, leaving thermostat on...) My kids still wanted to use, so we did But we felt disgusting after, and had to shower to not be sticky
The next day, the direct TV box stopped workingWe attempted to swap with upstairs box...which was also brokenWe attempted to switch with Master bedroom...this did function but intermittently turned to B&W picture Again, we lived with it; I did NOT want to spend my vacation waiting for maintenance
The next day the hot tub was super cloudy and smelled like sewage, and I had had enoughMy hubby went to the office and told them we were unhappyThey offered to drain hot tub while we were goneMy hubby was assured it would only take hours to reheat, as it was our last night and my kids were dying to usehours later, it was still coldWhen he called the office, they now said it would take hoursI was doneBetween the mold, filth, broken things, enough was enoughThey kindly (sarcasm) offered a $gift certificate for our next stayWe informed them we would not be staying with them ever again, and that our last night should be comped since we would now not be able to use the hot tub or of the tvsWe were informed they would not do this, and that was thatI am submitting this review so others will not be fooledGo with *** *** homeswe have great luck there
If you decide to stay here, enjoy the gastrointestinal probs for you and your family, as well as sinus issues for the duration of your stay as my family didAs for me, I will be alerting the health department

Start off by saying the cabin was horrible and customer service was about the same, the cabin lost power early in the morning and had to leave to get a hotelAlso bed was half made and dirty when I got there and the bath was nasty and also didn't have hot waterI would have rather stayed in the hotel I was inI would not recommend Heartside cabins to anyone

BEWARE!!! Hearthside does not stand behind their agreements or properties!! They single handedly ruined our family vacation. We had our vacation planned for several months and drove several hours to get there on a very popular weekend in Pigeon Forge. We arrived to a cabin with no power. Hearthside would take NO responsibility, and instead blamed the cabin owner. We were stranded with a baby and no other cabins or hotels available. After making 30-40 phone calls, the closest hotel that could accommodate us was over an hour away. We were forced to turn around and drive several hours back home. This was our families annual vacation. My mother and sister both cried most of the way home. We were all heart broken and it was probably the most upset I've ever been with a company in my life. Thinking about it still makes me feel sad. As much work, time and money as it takes to plan, prepare and travel for a vacation, it needs to be from a company with unquestionable trustworthiness. This is a lesson I and my family had to learn the hard way, but you don't have to. Do your homework before spending thousands of dollars with someone, and please, please....Do not rent from Hearthside Cabin Rentals! Happy Travels!!!
