Response to Complaint ID [redacted] To Whom it May Concern:On October 14, 2016, the complainant came to the office to request a change of physicianHe indicated that he wanted a physician who could see him in the hospital as well as the officeHe had seen the physician requested during a recent hospital stay.The request was sent to the physician who declined the requestAt the complainants request, we also sent a request to transfer care to another physician In the group who also declined the requestThis is not unusual as ail of our physicians have been practicing medicine In the community for a long time and have very full patient panels.When a member of our staff contacted the complainant to inform him of doctors decision, the complainant made inappropriate and unfounded comments about the current physicianWhile the complainant is entitled to his opinion, we believe that we have a right to decline to see someone who Inappropriately expresses their displeasure with a member of our staff.The complainant has been given notice that we will no longer be able to see themThe notice provides time to find another physician to take over careThe complainant has also been notified that we will assist In transferring records to the doctor of choice with a properly completed transfer request.We at Mil Country Medical Associates do wish the complainant the best, but we will not be able to assist further in the desired settlement.Respectfully, [redacted] Administrator
