Very dirty. Puppies are not healthy. Puppies are from puppy mills. My dog I got from there has numerous issues that are caused from dogs in puppy mills. Will never ever go into this store again.

They were rude and very defensive when asked where the puppies in the window came from and if they were reputable breeders! They then asked if I was there to harass them or if I was there to get a puppy. The pets come from puppy mills and they know it!

I was in Heartland on Monday, February 22nd, 2016 with my boyfriend and one of our friends. My boyfriend and I were interested in a male Bloodhound puppy and we asked if he could be brought out so we could meet him. One of the women who who works there brought him out to us and we took him into a play room. Once he was standing it became obvious that this puppy was underweight. His ribs and hips were clearly visible. We were told he was nine weeks old and "going through a growth spurt", but I've never seen a Bloodhound puppy that thin. It wasn't obvious when we first saw him because he was laying down facing away from us.

We decided to leave but once we gave the puppy back I looked over the other cages again and upon closer inspection noticed that nearly every puppy in the store was visibly underweight.

Very disappointed.

Review: I brought a puppy from heartland pet. I saw and hear that the puppy was health when I brought it. I was told to go to their vet within 10 days. I when to the vet and when I was in the room the vet said that the puppy had recessed vulva. After I find out the puppy had that and the vet told me that I am going to have problems with the puppy then I started to research the problem on the website that it is a defected on the breed, I find a website and it was about the puppy lemon law. It said that by law the puppy wasn't allowed to sale a puppy with illness and defected on a puppy.

I talked to the owner of the heartland pet Richard and he then started to yell and hang up the phone on me and said that I was a liar, as he then started to say that they knew about this problem with the puppy and didn't tell me.Desired Settlement: I am being told that I have to give back the puppy, so I lost my money that I put into the puppy training and vet bill. They are saying that they just want the puppy and I know that they are just going to sale the puppy again, as I get nothing for it. I know that they can write it off on the lost. The finance was on his side and not mine. For they are calling me all the time about the money. I am trying to talk to a lawyer and see what are my options are on the problem as I want the puppy, but they are not ever trying to make a agreement on the price of the puppy now.
