Heat in a Snap Reviews (1)
I purchased a product from this company and was misled as to the use of the product and at the time of my purchase was not informed of a no refund policy. The salesman showed me a heat wrap for the neck & activated it & placed it around my shoulder area & I said this is perfect for me because I have a neck injury(thru a compensation case) & was using a heat pad every night & mine had just broken. He said this would be perfect for me, it was reusable up tp a 1000 times and would stay warm up to 2hrs. once acctivated. I wanted one, for $40, and then tried to sell me another. I said I didn't need 2 and he said " I'm the manager & if you buy 3 I'll sell you them for $60. Thinking it was a good product I did it, thinking I could use two for Christmas gifts. Upon getting home I activated one & and laided down to rest. 15 min. later it started turning cold & got as hard as a rock. I remembered seeing him staple something to my receipt so I got the bag and found it. It was directions saying that after 15min. to 2 hrs. you had to place the wrap in a pot of boiling water until it became soft again, which does me no good, because I use it at night to be able to sleep & relax my neck at night. I told him that was why I was purchasing it , so I feel he should have told me that at the time of my purchase. Whose going to get out of bed every 15. min. to reheat this thing? Also on this piece of paper it said no refunds, exchanges only, which he also did not tell me. I went back with all three wraps and tried to get some satisfaction % got no where. I checked to see if they had a sign telling the consumer about the no refund policy. There was 1 small 4by6 card above the register, which you could not see while he cashed you out because he blocked the view of it. I tried to call their phone # to get better help and they never returned my calls. I also lodged a formal complaint with the kid running the shop that day & and with the Mall where they were set up. I feel they should tell people the complete way the product works, and that I was misled.
