Review: Almost a year ago now, my wife and I contacted Heat of the Earth regarding an issue with our Geothermal heating system. Simply put, it would not heat. We contacted Mr. [redacted]. [redacted], owner, installer and service person for Heat of the Earth, regarding the issue where he made a couple of attempts to address the problem, but none of them seemed to permanently address the root issue. Then one morning, when the house got down to close to 60 degrees overnight, I contact Mr. [redacted] explaining the situation to him. He stated that "the refrigeration circuit needed to be replaced" and he would get one, put it into our system and repair the damaged unit that was in our system when he had the time. That was in early January of 2013. After SEVE*AL attempts to contact Mr. [redacted] by phone, email and text, he did not reply. He continued to ignore my requests to hear from him while our house continued to operate inefficiently (E-Heat) causing our electric bill to increase dramatically. Finally, because we just weren't able to live with being outright ignored, we contacted another HVAC company to assist us and address the problem we had. That was in February of 2013. Since this time, we've had the 2nd HVAC company back a total of 2 times where they've identified to us that the entire refrigeration coil & circuit was damaged and coolant was leaking continually. The company that manufactures the unit, Climatemaster, is sending the new HVAC company the parts under warranty, but none of the labor is being covered. So, because Mr. [redacted] chose to ignore his responsibility in maintaining our geothermal system within the warranty period (7 year warranty), my family has now spent a total of $4,800 in labor, money that wouldn't have needed to be spent if Mr. [redacted] had taken care of our problem as he should have.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive AT MINIMUM a check refunding us for the money that we have spent in labor in the amount of $4,800.00 to date since this money didn't need to be spent if he was to have addressed the problem himself when it was reported. Instead, he ignored our many requests to service the system, therefore requiring us to seek an alternative repair company.

Review: [redacted] installed my geo thermal heating system in my Mahwah home in 2010. I now have multiple issues with the system and it isn't working. As soon as the service warranty expired [redacted] hasn't responded to any communication for the past three months. I have made 6 attempts to contact him ranging from email, phone, to text messaging. Due to the unique and new cutting edge technology there is no one available in my area to service the unit.Desired Settlement: I would like [redacted] to service the newly installed unit and fix the following issues: A leak in the geothermal systemReplace the fluids as per [redacted]'s instruction 4 months agoFix a leaking value Fix system, it isn't coolingInvestigate error code of E5 displayed on the unitDetermine source of puddle in front of the unit of fluid.
