Good afternoon my name is Victor L*** I am the sole owner of heatshock llcOn the night specified below yes I did arrive at the location when I arrived at the location there was no heat throughout the house through my technical expertise as a licensed HVAC technician and business owner in the
state of Connecticut I found that the current thermostat that was on the wall was not allowing The warm air gas-fired furnace to come on through my technical expertise I came to the conclusion that the thermostat was the issue and the customer had an old thermostat that she had replaced beforeI installed it and asked her if she would like me to return and replace it with a new thermostat the customer said yesSo when I arrived in that night and there was no heat when I left there her heat was running perfectly so on that night I feel that I provided the service and feel that I should be paid for those servicesA few days later we returned and replaced the old thermostat with a new digital output thermostat at the homeowners requestWe also asked the homeowner if she would like us to go ahead and perform a preventative maintenance on the heating system to ensure that the unit was in good working orderThe customer was more than willing to have us perform the preventative maintenance at the current rate so we replaced the thermostat and we perform preventative maintenance on the heating systemno contract was ever written to cover her for the year only a hard copy receipt was made for the services provided. The customer was very happy when I left and insured me that she would be passing my name along to anyone that she came across around a month later the customer contacted me and told me that her son."Who is not a licensed HVAC technician in the state of Connecticut" told her that there was nothing wrong with the old thermostat?? This came to a surprise to me because I tested the thermostat and the complete system in front of the customer to ensure that there would be no mistakes and no questions. In conclusion I feel that payment made for services rendered were adequate I have no idea to know if the homeowner and her son bought a new thermostat in place of the old one that I took out and are trying to say that there is nothing wrong with itthere's no way for any of us to know for sure the fax lie that the customer had no heat and when I left the customer the heat was up and running so I feel my services as an HVAC contractor were provided and customer should not be refunded any money because the work requested was performed and signed off on.
