This was not the full price of the item, so I lost some money, but I felt this was satisfactory enough in order to just close the case and move forwardI lost the tax which was $49, plus $that I had to pay a third party to get the fridge out of my shop, but I was refunded $600.

I have added our response to ***’s claim against Heatherwood Apartments in red in the text below
I am very hurt and disappointed with Heatherwood aptI fully trusted their business, however, they have failed to fulfill their promise as a businessI asked this company
to rent me 1st floor apartment due to my condition
***, *** and *** (Guarantor) applied for apartment ***, a ground floor apartment.
They promised me the apartment, but I asked them multiple times to show me the apartmentThey kept saying NO, the apt is not ready nowBut you will be able to see it soonThis went on for about a month
*Emily walked *** and *** to the front of the G-Building and showed them the general location, not the apartment. She did not take them to the actual apartment because it was not ready to show. *** and *** did not make any comments about stair limitations during this tour or at any other time
I did not think that was right, so on the day before the moving in I went to ask to look at it againThey gave me the run around, and made me wait hours before I can even view the aptFinally the apt was shown to me, but it wasn't exactly what was promisedThe apt is in the basement and due to my condition I cannot use the flight of stairs to access my new home
*On 4/11/16, *** and *** visited the office without appointment and demanded a tour of the apartment. The apartment was scheduled to have its final inspection that day and was not officially available to tour. Maria scrambled once she arrived back from lunch to inspect the unit and verify that everything had been completed before taking *** and *** to view it.
Maria walked *** and *** to *** and showed them the apartmentMaria toured them by taking them down the ramp to the apartment, on the back side of the communityThey entered the apartment and *** and *** made comments on how much they liked it.
Everyone made positive comments about the apartment until they reached the bedroomsWhen *** viewed the Master Bedroom, she made comments about it being way too small
She told Maria that her bedroom set wouldn’t fit inside the bedroom. Then *** asked where she would park. Maria took them up the stairs and showed her where the closest parking lot was located. At that point, *** and *** voiced the stair limitations.
I talked with them and ask them please change this apt to another oneThey said nope, we do not have something available, so I said fineI would like a refund of depositI am soo hurt and upset about the fact that you could not fulfil their promiseThey were soo cold and told me straight up its my fault, and made lies about me
*When they made us aware of their concerns about the stairs, everyone in the office checked for other availabilityEmily explained that they could still move in and use the ramp that leads from the playground to the front door of ***. *** and *** said that it wasn’t reasonable to walk that far to reach the entrance of the apartment After searching for other solutions, we could not find a viable option. So *** and *** chose to cancel their hold on apartment ***. They wanted their $hold fee returned. We explained that we could not refund the $hold fee because they had been approved for tenancy and had held the apartment for more than hours. Emily and Maria have both toured and worked with ***, *** and *** on different occasions. Neither were made aware of these limitations
Anyways, all I want is my money backI am losing sooo much nowI have to leave my current place, move in to a hotel, put my things in storage, then start looking for a new placeThis could have been avoided if only if they were honest with me, but they could not even do something as simple as thatI hope you can resolve this issue
*Each member of our office has spoken with ***, *** and *** about this issue. We have apologized multiple times and have tried to find different solutions for them. At the end of the day, they did agree to hold the apartment and cancelled after holding the apartment for over days. We have been upfront and honest about our touring policy and did our best to accurately represent the apartment.
I feel that our team has done everything in our power to assist this household with their apartment searchPlease let me know if you have further questions
