To Whom It May Concern, At 3:p.mon May 6th, we had a guest check in to room 265. At 7:40pm the guest called down to report a broken TV in her room. We offered to come up and fix or replace the TV but the guest declined. Upon the guests checkout May 7th we inspected
the room to find a completely shattered TV with a dent in the wall behind where the TV sits. We then proceeded to follow up with the housekeeper that cleaned the room May 6th as well as the room inspector that inspected the room prior to the guests arrival on the 6th. Both of those employees reported that there was no damage to the TV at that time. We then ran a lock audit on the door to make sure no other employee had entered the room to which we confirmed no one else had entered. On the night of 05.13.2017, the guest stayed at our hotel in room At about 10PM, we received a noise complaint from this roomOur manager on duty went up to the room to report that a large gathering (10-plus) people were in the room having a party with loud music going onThe first noise
complaint we issued a warning and asked the guests to refrain from their in room party and maintain quietThere were more noise complaints throughout the evening before we mandated that all non-registered guests leave the room The following morning, our housekeeping staff, upon cleaning the room, discovered that the bed frame had been damagedTwo supervisors and a manager went up to inspect the room and called our maintenance person on duty to assess the damageIt was discovered that both of the side railings had been sheered apart from the center supports and several of the cross support boards were broken at midpointIt was our determination that the frame was no longer suitable for continued use due to damage and safety concernsOur hotel housekeeping staff maintains daily inspections of the room and its furniture and contents for wear and damageIn addition, our maintenance staff also performs routine preventative maintenance in our guestrooms to ensure that the room and its furniture and contents are suitable for useIt was determined that this damage was not routine wear and tear on the bed and was likely due to outside influence from the most recent occupant (since the room had been cleaned and inspected the day previous.) Damage charges were assessed to the guest in the amount of $in an attempt to cover partial costs of replacing the bedframe, as it initially was billed to us at approximately $
