We received notice of a complaint to the Revdex.com on December 8th, 2016. Regarding this above referenced case #[redacted], the responses to each listed item number is below.  1.  Merle Builders was never made aware of any problem with the driveway before this complaint was received from...

Revdex.com. It is a shared driveway with the attached patio home and there are NO complaints from them on the driveway installation, so it is hard to believe only her side was installed wrong.  It WILL be inspected to see if there is an issue now that we have been alerted to the possibility. 2. Weather and subcontractor availability affected the completion date of the house, as it usually does.  The contract gives a date that specifies ON or ABOUT that date.  Ms. [redacted] was well aware of the delays during construction and while not thrilled about it, said she fully understood. 3.  Merle Builders was never made aware of any issues with the cabinets being hung incorrectly. Ms. [redacted] will be contacted to see what the issue is. 4.  We have been aware of and working with Ms. [redacted] to ‘fix’ the paint as she terms it. It is contractor flat paint and our painter has been there several times trying to fix it to her exacting standards. She wants it perfect, and there is no perfect in new construction flat painted walls, there will always be imperfections.  We agreed with Ms. [redacted] to have her get a proposal from the painter of her choice which we will look at before any work is done, then we will pay for the proposed work after we agree with the costs being charged for the scope of work.  That was on November 17th, to this date of December 9th we have not seen a written proposal from any painter. 5. The soil used was the same soil we used for the neighbors berm in their yard, Ms. [redacted] did NOT pay for screen topsoil, therefore the soil may have some stones and organic material in it. 6.  Merle Builders was never made aware of any holes coming in from the outside. We will gladly contact Ms. [redacted] about such holes and fix them if they do indeed exist. 7.  The key was delivered to Ms. [redacted]’s new home immediately after closing, it was forgotten as we left for the closing. 8.  Multiple other issues? Anything that was called into us to have fixed was addressed immediately. We are aware Ms. [redacted] called her mortgage company, the realtors on both sides of the transaction and the owner of the realty company at the same time she was calling us. We understand her frustration, however, following proper channels of communication one at a time is usually how things are done. Spamming everyone at the same time is counterproductive. Merle Builders has been trying to satisfy Ms. [redacted], and will continue to do so.  We will be contacting her immediately to find out about the issues she sent to you but never to us.
