The following is a rebuttal to Ms***'s complaint and a written account of our conversation todayCustomer had knowledge of potential additional cost which was clearly stated on my Proposal #*** Dated 07/27/Upon our first visit to start the small project my Associate installed
items #and #initially, then started working on item #which is the three front door lightsMy Associate noted to the customer that the light fixtures (customer supplied) did not fit the existing vinyl light block on the house they were too big and also noted to the customer that a junction box directly in back of the light fixture needed to be installed as per the National Electrical CodeShe made no other comment other than she wanted to change the light fixtures to fit the existing vinyl block and we had to come back to install the new light fixtures when she was able to purchase new light fixturesWe were able to reschedule another visit to install the smaller light fixturesWe also did not charge the customer a additional charge for the extra service tripMy Associate cut the new boxes into the vinyl block and installed the new smaller light fixturesMy Associate checked to make sure that the fixtures worked and he went on his wayWe then invoiced (invoice #*** Dated 08/06/2015) customerWe were sent a certified mail which was a bank check for $Ms *** wrote a note explaining why she is not paying the additional charge of $150.00, which in a nut shell she is stating that we did not do the workI emailed Ms*** that I was willing to come to her residence and take down the light fixtures and prove that we did install the new boxesMs*** did not respond to my requestI believe Ms*** feels that there is a junction box somewhere under the vinyl siding that maybe is there before the vinyl was installed, but a junction box is required directly behind a light fixtureWe installed the new junction box directly behind the new light fixture and had to cut into the existing vinyl block in which there was not a box behind the vinyl blockWe sent Ms*** a Balance Owed statement dated 08/24/for $which we have not been paid forAt this point I offered to address this issue by showing Ms*** what we installed ( junction boxes) and she has refused to have us prove that we installed the junction boxesI do not understand why this simple issue has gone this farGoing forward, I now feel I do not want to go to Ms*** residence for I feel it is a hostile situation for my CompanyAt this time I will offer to Ms*** a one time compromise of a adjustment to the additional charge of $that had been originally charged to a payment of $If I receive this amount within five business days starting on the date of Monday 19th of October, I will then drop my efforts to collect the original $and bury this dispute between B.TElectric Company and Ms*** so we can both move on from this.Thank you,*** ***, V.P
