residents are proud to call home.On June 7, 2015 at about 6:00am our maintenance team was alerted that water was coming throughthe celling of the apartment above #[redacted]. Upon further investigation our maintenance team discoveredthat the water heater In the top floor apartment (3'd floor) had burst In the night and flooded all threefloors. On that same day our contractor came In and started the mitigation process. They removed allwet sheetrock, flooring, carpet, etc. All three apartments had fans and dehumidifiers for several days todry out any wet areas.On June 15, 2015 our contractor removed all of the equipment. On June 17, 2015 our contractor enteredthe apartment to assess what needed to be done to rebuild/repair. After carefully putting together agame plan and going through the approval process the contractors started repairs on June 29, 2015.#[redacted] will have the sheetrock started July 61 2015. Since the water effected three units there Is aprocess that has to be completed. ·The llvablllty status In apartment #[redacted] has not been compromised. The offer to transfer to' anotherapartment with In the community still stands, however we do not have any three bedrooms available atthis time. The largest Is a two bedroom. To my understanding they did not want to down size. The offerto be let out of the lease agreement still stands as well. We understand the Inconvenience this may havecaused all three apartment residents and we are working dlligently to restore the apartments back totheir original condition.
on several occasions the resident emailed me asking who was going to pay for their damaged kitchenItems. I explained to all residents that this was an act that was out of our control and this Is why werecommend renters Insurance. I urged them to call their Insurance agent.
