Hegel's Tax Service Reviews (1)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
BOTTOM LINE:   Max Haven Kennels sent us a pup that had been sick and never voluntarily told us that it had been sick.  They never informed us, the prospective new [redacted], of any of the issues this dog was having while it was with them.  We were not given the opportunity to decline to take this dog.  We WOULD NOT have taken the dog IF we had been informed of its’ health issues.  On 11-9-15, we picked this pup out - BEFORE it was sick, so technically it was “ours” the whole time it was with Max Haven Kennels & having health issues, and we were not informed of anything that was going on with the pup.  As for the [redacted]s’ statement, “The [redacted]’s only paid for shipping for Indi, they did not purchase her from us” - we did indeed “pay” Max Haven for this pup - we traded to them a pup in return – they still have that dog they received from us.   So, yes, they did receive “payment” from us. The [redacted]s (Max Haven Kennels) state they never received the vet records from their vet on this pup until we informed them the records showed she was sick – that DOES NOT excuse the [redacted]s from not informing us the dog was sick – they KNEW she was sick.  In the vet notes, it specifically states that the vet spoke to the [redacted] of the female puppy ([redacted]s, not us) in regards to the pup being sick and what testing they recommended for the pup and later, that the [redacted]s chose not to proceed with the testing.  The [redacted]s state they informed us Indi had a fever at her 7 week appointment – when did that occur? – it was AFTER we received the pup & we inquired of the [redacted]s what shots she had been given, and at that time, they said she had only had 1 puppy shot (at 10 weeks of age), due to the fact that she had a fever at her 7 week appointment – they did not mention any of the other issues she had while with them.   In the 12-22-15 vet notes, it reads “Spoke with [redacted] ([redacted]s) regarding female puppy – highly suspect liver issue, ddx severe parasitism.”  The [redacted]s even state in their response that they told their vet that they highly suspected liver issues with this pup. Any yet, they did not think it appropriate to inform us of this??????  Obviously not, as they DID NOT tell us anything.Again, as stated before, and backed up by 2 different vets, most dogs with renal issues don’t show any signs or symptoms until the dog has lost approximately 70% of its’ kidney functions.  The dog didn’t show any symptoms while in our care, thus no “sick dog” vet records to send to the [redacted]s – which has already been explained to them.  She got her yearly checkup each year – no bloodwork was run at those yearly checkups, as that is not a standard part of an annual checkup.  Again, the other [redacted] stated they were returning the dog to us, so we did contact the [redacted]s as the [redacted] of the dog.  Again, we never told the [redacted]s we had any of the testing done that showed this dog has Renal issues.  In regards to the [redacted]s’ statement “The [redacted]’s state “they should be made to compensate us for their deception” contradicts their statement “we never made claims to Max Haven about being at a financial loss from her medical condition” :  The [redacted]s stated in their earlier response that ”Dan and Valerie [redacted] claimed to be at a loss from her medical conditions” – when we said “we never made claims to Max Haven about being at a financial loss from her medical condition”, we were referring to the fact that we never told Max Haven that we had the testing done.As for the [redacted]s’ claim that the dog was overdue for her rabies shot, all shots and wormings were current on the dog while she was with us.  2016 rabies & yearly booster shots were given on 6/9/16, & 2017 rabies & yearly booster shots were given on 6/7/17 – last I checked being 2 days early with a shot does not make it overdue.  Heartworm/hook/round/whip preventative wormer was given on 6/16/17.  Flea & tick preventative was given on 6/16/17.  3 day run of Fenbendazole wormer was given on 8/27-29/16.  Praziquantal wormer was given on 1/14/17.  Our dogs get monthly heartworm/ hook/round/whip & flea/tick preventative; they get a once yearly 3 day run of Fenbendazole wormer, & a once yearly treatment of Praziquantal wormer; they get the annual rabies shot & yearly booster shots.  Everything we have stated in our case against the [redacted]s, aka Max Haven Kennels, is the truth – there have been no “attacks” or “untrue statements” made against them.  (unlike some statements from them – such as the rabies overdue statement, just to name one).    JUST TO SUM IT UP:  We picked out a Max Haven Kennel pup on 11-9-15, that was born on 11-6-15.  At her 7 week checkup on 12-22-15, she only weighed 4.5 pounds, was running a fever of 104.2 F, she had coccidia, had severe parasitism, & a UTI. Results of bloodwork & urinalysis done at this vet visit all pointed to possible indicators of liver or kidney disease.  This dog has now developed renal issues.  From all indications of problems as a pup, the issues were there to start with. This was information we had the right to know about the pup they were sending us.  It was the ethical thing to inform us of this information so we could have the option to NOT take this pup.  Per vet – would NOT recommend using for breeding – when a vet suggests this, there are medical reasons for it – that means the dog in question has some medical/congenital/hereditary issues that there would be possibilities of passing down to offspring.  The [redacted]s deceived us by omitting important medical information on this pup.  The responsibility was theirs to tell us what had been going on with the pup.  They failed, and they should not be allowed to continue such practices.
Regards,
Dan & Valerie [redacted]
