Hegemon Group International Reviews (%countItem)

HGI is a financial services platform. I was introduced to it in February of 2019 by a close friend of mine. Over a short period of time he transferred enough knowledge about financial concepts to help me realize that I haven't structured my personal finances properly to meet my future demands.

He ran illustrations from multiple financial institutions. We were able to interactively tailor the right solutions for me and my family. Today in these uncertain financial times, I am glad that I took those steps that day to preserve and grow the much needed funds for my kids education and my own retirement.

I am so impressed with the business model that about an year after getting to know the platform, I myself have gotten involved, at my own time, and am helping my friends and family get on path of financial advantages.

- Then a HGI Client, now a HGI member from MD, USA

Ty *** sold Peak Debt consumption within 90 days. It has been 14 months, I want to receiverefund escrow money from Peak Debt
Ty *** with HGI sold Peak debt consumption product to me. I entered into contract agreement with Peak Debt Consumption company in Feb of 2018 to resolve credit issues. I was guaranteed resolution of negotiated credit accounts within 90 days. I signed this contract in agreement that they would "consume my debt", negotiate with these lender accounts on my behalf, and compromise on a payoff amount. As per their policy, I paid them upfront. I paid them a total $33,717.99 - $3500 consultant = reminder $30,217.99 into Deep Creek escrow account at upon signing the contract. Expecting this to be resolved in May 2018; in which it did not happen. Contract is for 11 months, and it is currently May 2019; well beyond their "guarantee of 90 days or less". I have had to constantly call and/or email to try to get a hold of any of them for updates in the matter. They didn't even take my calls and only after repeated emails is when I get a response, which could be weeks later. Their lack of customer support and service is the real issue. However; they did guarantee me the resolution of this all within 90 days of contract signing, and that did not happen. I see this as a breach of contract; combined with a lack of service support. I want to get my money deposit into escrow account back.

I contacted Ty about this issue, he provided Chris McCormick information, and Attorney Dave Fisher. Dave said he didn't have anything to do with escrow fund. Chris didn't refund my escrow money as promised.

Since HGI sold Peak Debt service to me. HGI should help me refund back from peak Debt.

Desired Outcome

HGI help resolve service and refund issue with Peak Debt Consumption.

Thank you for your inquiry through the Revdex.com, HGI always appreciates any feedback on our products, services and our associates.

Please allow us to explain how HGI works. First, HGI is an independent marketing company that contracts with a wide range of product providers, from debt management, retirement strategies and other financial tools. While our affiliate, Hegemon Financial Group (HFG) specifically offers insurance products like life insurance and annuities to our insurance licensed associates throughout the country. All these product providers are independent of HGI and we do not have any control over these companies, so they operate through their company's management team and employees. HGI also has independent associates that utilize our network of product providers. We do conduct research and due diligence on any company that we make available to our associates, so we aspire to offer the best possible products and services, but it's not a perfect science.

Meeting the financial challenges of today's consumers is not an easy task, but we strive to source good companies that provide justifiable and fair products and services. The rationale we used regarding Peak Debt Consumption (Peak Debt) was that they offer credit and debt counseling for small businesses and they had a positive track record at that time of helping many small businesses.

We understand there have been some issues with their credit and debt counseling services on your account and we are in communication with Peak Debt's senior management team in your regard. Although they say they work in a 90-day window, we understand that it can take longer in certain cases. HGI has been informed by their CEO that they are making every effort to resolve there lack of performance in these certain cases.

To clarify what happened with Peak Debt, there was a $3,500 non-refundable set-up fee that you paid directly to Peak Debt. The remaining $30,217.99 in question, represents 35% of your total debt, which those funds were put into an escrow account that Peak Debt could use to negotiate with your creditors. We will continue to work with Peak Debt to try to resolve this issue for you. As we receive more information on your account, we will be glad to share it with you at that time. We understand your frustration and appreciate your patience. If you have any other questions, please let us know.

Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,

Hegemon Group International

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
If HGI is marketing company that contracts with a wide range of product providers, then it is selling products that not true to its promised by settle debt in 90 days and money is in escrow account. It has been 1 years and 3 months, none of my accounts is settle, and no one service my accounts with update status since October 2018. If the money is in escrow why can't they return my money. I have been in contact by call and text Chris McCormick (CEO) since March 2019, and it is going no where. So it is ok for HGI to sell a bad product and walk away. I see it is false advertising. It would be best for HGI to help me resolve this issue not as HGI receive more information and be glad to share it. I don't need information, I need my money to refund to me as promised.

I haven't received my refund yet.

HGI has done everything within our powers to help but we no longer have a relationship with this company and cannot do anything further.

Hegemon Group International is a company that is being run by recruiters. Some are in Dallas County, where I was approached by a person that I don't think really knows that this company is ran as a pyramid and a Ponzi scheme.
She went out recruiting and told me that it was related to a business that needed Bilingual people to reach out to the community I went thinking that I would interpret to the Spanish speaking community that came in for business. I sat in and did not understand it but she paid a $125 application fee so that I could join. Afterwards I received information regarding the company. As I went online to get information of this company I realized that it was a pyramid/Ponzi scheme all in one! I immediately contacted the company and told them that I did not want to be a part of a pyramid/Ponzi scheme and to refund the money back to the person that paid the fee. They refused as they said it was non-refundable AND I DID NOT SEE THAT AT ALL ON THEIR WEBSITE!!!! I saw it when they responded to me saying NON-REFUNDABLE. I DID NOT partake in any of their online Associate Back Office Links or anything else. I looked at it and noticed all the links to Fast Start and Step-By-Step instructions on what to do next to be licensed to sell stuff that they were connected to as a point of contact for other companies sells by networking and recruiting others to pay a fee and join. You grow within the company by points and a small % pay from the products they sell by referring people to "their" company associates, such as licensed products,
There is ONLY RECRUITE others. You climb up the ladder by the more people you recruit in and they pay their NON-REFUNDABLE FEE. You can also become licenses to sell insurance if you pay the fee. BUT HGI does not sell anything. They just "represent" other companies. Training Associates are suggested to recruit New Affiliates as soon as possible in order to become Regional Marketing Director and then it becomes MORE CONFUSING!!!
Product_Or_Service: ASSOCIATE RECRUITER

Desired Outcome

Refund HEGEMON GROUP INTERNATIONAL Needs to refund the fee. Their associates deliver false information. They claimed to help people become financially secured in proper investments such as buying NON TAXABLE life ins/mutual funds-such as licensed and non-licensed products presented as quality services people NEED at a price they can afford. All for third party service they are refferd to by HGI Associates that they do not sell. HGI makes money by recruiting associates.

Hegemon Group International RESPONSE:

Revdex.com, Inc.
*** Street NE, North Tower, Suite ***
Atlanta, GA XXXXX-XXXX

RE: Case # ***

In response to ***'s recent letter to the Revdex.com regarding her allegations and refunding our $125 affiliation fee. We currently have thousands of successful independent associates across the country that have started in a similar manner that was offered to *** and we take her comments and allegations very serious. We have been in business since 2012 and this is the first complaint of this nature that I have heard of at our company.

We are not, and never have been, a "Ponzi scheme" or a company run by recruiters as alleged. We have thousands of individuals, both associates and their clients, that have benefited from our services over the years. We have helped our associates, and in-turn their families, learn about the financial world to better serve them and their clients/referrals. Our mission is simply to create wealth for families and help them achieve their dreams.

Our policy is to not refund our affiliations fee, because of the costs and expenses of our overall operation to bring on and develop new associates. But, in this case, we will make an exception and refund the fee in question. In doing so we will not accept any referrals, and any potential compensation that is associated with *** will not be paid under any circumstance.

It is sad to hear comments like this and we will continue to do our best to position our company with the highest integrity in the marketplace. We appreciate that not everyone is a fit for our organization and it takes a person with commonsense and a business mindset to understand the types of opportunities we offer our associates. We wish *** well but suggest that she refrain from any future slanderous comments.

Sincerely,

***

Hegemon Group International Response • Dec 17, 2018

did not pay the $125 fee that is question. The name associates with *** in our system is *** who we refunded the $125 fee on November 15, 2018. *** is not owed this fee. We are researching this further and believe that *** may have paid the fee in question instead of *** and we will rectify the situation as soon as we get confirmation.
