Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/04/24) */
The tenant states that she had called the police 4 times and I had only gotten 1 police report from the police department. I called [redacted] at the police department and she told me that there was only the 1 police report from...

4/2/2015.
The tenant says that she wasn't able to get a reasonable accommodation request. We offered her a reasonable accommodation to be able to move to another apartment at the same price of her current unit until July 31st.
[redacted] was involved in an argument with [redacted]. Neighbors said they could hear yelling and screaming coming from the unit prior to officer's arrival. The male said he lived in the unit and neighbors said the male had been in the unit since about August. [redacted] was uncooperative and resisted officer commands. He was arrested for an open city of Fargo warrant and for resisting arrest.
He was not actually a tentant. I was not aware that he was in the unit until I contacted the police department. The tenant was fined for having an unauthorized tenant.
If she would have told us about the 3 previous alleged incidents I hope that it would not have escalated to the level that it did on 4/2/2015.
I have attached the documentation that I have for these issues below.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2015/04/27) */
[redacted]Document Attached[redacted]
Here I am attaching the letter written (April 11th) and sent to Nancy [redacted] (April 13th). I am also attaching the letter that I have sent on April 27th. I would ask that Hegenes Properties promptly resolve this complaint with me as outlined in the letter sent on April 27th and in the original complaint U submitted to the Revdex.com. Thank you.
Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 24, 2015/08/08) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The responses of Hegenes Properties do not address my concerns at all, but rather further demonstrate that my complaint is warranted. The police department may not have recorded the incidents as they should have, but Hegenes Properties also has no measures in place to be aware of or know of the safety concerns on the property. I have phone records and an additional police report from [redacted] of the Fargo Police Department that show record of the previous incidents. As I previously told Nancy and George in our meeting following the April 2nd incident, the incidents prior to April 2nd were very real and very terrifying, which is why I called the police, but the tenants on at least one occasion pretended not to be home when they realized the Fargo police were present.
If Hegenes Properties was following its own policies and procedures, however, these records would not even be necessary. Hegenes Properties should have been aware at the time of each incident of the presence of the police on the property. As I have stated in my previous complaints, they informed my directly and clearly when I moved in that they were of aware of police visits to the premises and that I was not to contact the building management with complaints about other residents because they handled everything with the Fargo Police. The failure of this policy cannot be blamed on the tenants, but rather, as I wrote in my original complaint, Hegenes Properties needs to revise and publicize effective policies that see to the safety of their tenants. I, as a former tenant, should not be fiscally penalized for the inadequate communication and coordination between Hegenes Properties and the Fargo Police.
Hegenes Properties also has yet to address the lack of response and communication in handling the incident after April 2nd. They have lied about the options that I was presented with and they did not follow-up with me at all. In the meeting that I had with George and Nancy following the incident, as well as in the phone call I had with Nancy after the meeting, I was promised that they would put into writing what options they were offering to me so that I could be clear on the terms and choose the one the best allowed me to see to my personal safety and wellbeing. It was clear at the time that it was no longer safe for me to continue to reside in the unit I was in and I made it very clear that I wanted to make safer arrangements as soon as possible. I asked for their assistance in this and not only did they not follow through in presenting me with any options, but they failed to follow-up with me at all. Each meeting and phone call I had, I had to ask for repeatedly. Not once did Nancy and George take the initiative to follow-up with me or to respond to me, even when they promised that they would. The fact that they allowed the original Revdex.com complaint to expire and close in my favor, is just another clear indicator of Hegenes Properties lack of communication and lack of commitment to any kind of service.
At this time, I would like Hegenes Properties to address all of my concerns, as well as my request for a resolution that I made in the original Revdex.com complaint. I will not accept a response that does not address these things.
With this response, I will post the other police report that [redacted] sent to me; however, I will not post the phone records since the records contain content goes beyond the purview of this matter. If Hegenes Properties wishes to see evidence of the calls, that could certainly be arranged upon request.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 32, 2015/09/21) */
1. First of all, she was not told by management that she should not contact the office if she had a police issue. She was told to contact the police department so that we could get police reports. We tell them that we need police reports because most of the time when this stuff is happening, it is not during regular business hours when we are here to handle situations. She was never told not to contact the office.
2. When setting up meetings with [redacted], I first had to contact Nancy who is the Senior property Manager. Nancy oversees the 4 offices that we have in Fargo. When I made contact with her, I set up the meetings that she had requested. If she had other things already scheduled at other properties, she can't necessarily meet with [redacted] on the same day. She did set up meetings with her and she met with [redacted]. Apparently, this did not meet [redacted]'s timeline.
3. As I have stated in the past, I contacted [redacted] with the Fargo Police Department. They do not have police reports for the events prior to this one. If I do not receive police reports, there is not much that I can do as it is one tenants word against anothers. This is an issue between [redacted] and the police department as to what incidents require police reports.
4. When [redacted] sat down with Nancy and myself, we offered to move her to another unit for the remainder of her lease. We did not say that she had to sign another 12 month lease.
