Review: I called this salon the day of my visit with my daughters to ask them the prices for pedicures for children because most salons charge less for kids. I talked to someone and she told me $15 and that includes two designs. I was not able to go that day and had to reschedule. A week later I talked to the owner and she asked the ages of the children. I told her the ages were 9 and 11. She quoted the price of $15 with two designs. When I arrived later that day, I was put in a Pedicure chair while my daughters waited. About five minutes into the pedicure and making small talk with another employee, I noticed that the male employee [redacted] and his female co-worker, both of whom had a client of their own start talking in Vietnamese. It was obvious they were talking about my older daughter based on their body language and facial expression. Then my lady [redacted] tells me that they will charge my younger daughter $15 but the older one will be $20. I said, "why"? They are both under 12 and I have already talked to the owner about the price. She said because your older daughter is bigger, meaning (bigger in size) she will be charged the adult price for $20. I indicated that they should have informed me before I came in that it was based on size not age. Why was I asked the age of the children when making the appointment? An argument persisted in front of all the clients in the salon and my daughter and I were humiliated over the additional $5. I have never felt more embarrassed. My 11 year old daughter was heart broken because she realized they wanted more money because she was bigger than average 11 year olds. She was already sensitive about her weight and this has affirmed her belief that she is large and has left her mentally scarred. She has stopped eating her normal meals and has gone into a state of depression. I have scheduled a visit with her doctor in September. In meantime, I try various things to divert her mind from thoughts of feeling ugly and abnormal.Desired Settlement: The staff rushed through our pedicures and the quality of service was direful. The 15 minute argument had created a very uncomfortable ambiance and it was not worth even a portion of $56 I spent. I called the owner later and she did nothing but listen and say she will talk to the employees. She did not get any of my information and did not even offer a phone call back or an apology.
