Saturday May 31 I went to [redacted]'s shop to get braids. She braided my hair and pulled up in a pony tail. As I got home to let them down, I noticed 2 braids came out. The next day I noticed that I had 1 braid missing in the front she forgot to do and 3 more braids came out as I was putting my hair in a ponytail. I then called left a message that the braids had came out and I would like to have them put back in. Well I noticed today June 3 I havent received a call back so I called the shop number again. [redacted] has blocked my number and her mail box is full where you can not leave a message. Now, I have to pay someone else to complete her work and I have never had a problem with her service. I have been going there for at least 5 years and I feel that this is not a way to treat a loyal customer.Product_Or_Service: Braids/hair styleDesired SettlementShe can replace the braids that came out or refund half of my money. I received half of a job from her. Business Response I braided a young lady's hair on 5/31/2014 at 6:00am at my shop. Upon completion of the client's hair, her hair appeared to look fine and the client seemed to be happy when she left. The client stated that I pulled her hair up in a ponytail, and I always ask each of my clients after I braid their hair if they would want their hair up in a ponytail or would they want their hair down. The client wanted it up. The client continues to say that she noticed she had a braid missing in the front of her head. As a stylist, I would never leave a person's hair unbraided especially in the front where she mentioned due to that being the first place someone would be able to recognize. In my opinion if those braids were not there, myself as well as the client would have noticed that. Yes, the client did call and left a message; however, I called her back and spoke with her mother, who then informed me that the client was at work. I explained to the client's mom to have the client to call me and that she sure could come back and I would be more than willing to put whatever braids back that she may had lost. I further explained to the client's mother to let the client know that she did not need to make an appointment that she could just come in whenever she could and I would put the braids back in. Also, the client stated that she has been a loyal customer for 5 years, but whenever she calls to make an appointment and I ask her who referred her like I do anyone else that calls and I'm not familiar with, but her response is always I've been there before. I even went back in my appointment book 5 years, and I only seen this client's name in my book twice, and the appointment that was scheduled for 5/31/2014 at 6:00am made the third time I did her hair, which explains the reason why I did not know the client as I do my regulars. My loyal customers that come regularly come every 3 months. These customers also know that there have been electrical problems with the telephone, due to the heavy rain that we have been experiencing and whenever the voicemail says the mailbox is full its because of those issues that were mentioned above, which is the reason that my telephone sometimes goes straight to voicemail. When these things occur, the stylist can not be held accountable because this is beyond her control. The client even stated that I blocked her calls. I have also gone back and checked all blocked numbers and the client's telephone number had been blocked, due to this same number showing up and when I would call back asking if someone was trying to make an appointment the person would respond I did not call trying to make a hair appointment. An as a professional business owner, I have the right to block any unwanted phone numbers playing on my business line.Being a mother of two daughters and a woman myself, I know the effort that we as women put into looking good and in our appearance. I would never want to make anyone feel anything less than that, so I feel that it would be best if I gave this client her full $100 back because I would not want to make anyone unhappy.Sincerely,A concerned stylistConsumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)This is a total lie. How would she call my mother and I live in my own house. The number I left on her answering machine is my home and cellphone. I can provide proof of records of my house, cellphone and my mother's house phone to prove she is lying. I have been getting my hair braided by her before she even got a shop when it was in a guest house next to [redacted] house in [redacted] I will get the records to prove how she has lied in the complaint as she did about rebraiding the braids that came out. I have also took pictures showing the time and date to prove they came out before 24hrs of her braiding my hair. Also can get statements from my sister daughter and mother saw my braids coming out days after getting my braids.Final Business Response
