Helene's Bridal Salon Reviews (1)

I went down to Helene's bridal in JanuaryI ordered from Dianne(She was fantastic)Dianne calls me in May the dress is inI go to try it onIt had a hole in itNear the bust lineI tell Dianne and she tells me she'll get it fixedJuly rolls around and Dianne comes into where I work, she tells me she has two pieces of news for meThe shop had my dress for over a week 2.That they fired herShe then tells me to go get my dress from them as soon as possible because she doesn't trust themI call them Monday morning and ask about my dressThe lady on the phone (after asking my name) puts me on hold for minsThe male owner of the store (Bernie) answers and starts talking to me about liquor (my job) I say to him " I called about my dress, not about booze" he then tells me my dress won't be in until July 29th(days they would have had my dress) This is where I think they were letting other women try it onMy dress had been paid forAfter I tell Bernie to double check for my dress because I was told they already had it, he said he would check and call me backhours later he calls and confirms it's thereI said I'd be down to pick it upI show up at the shop, not a soul to be seen, I walk to the rack where my dress was hangingI pull it out, open it up, start to look for the first hole (it's been repaired)A lady behind me, rudely says "Excuse me, Can I help you?" I turn to her and say "not really, I'm just looking at MY dress" she says "oh you're Danielle" This makes me think that I've been the talk of shop all morningI try it onI notice frayed lace pieces, more holes, some lace that's stretched beyond its actual patternI point this out to the woman and she's says she'll get SheilaSheila comes around the corner and tells me I look beautifulI then tell her thank you, but I start pointing out the inconsistenciesShe says "that's just how the dresses come from the makers" I tell her "That's what you guys said the first time, I didn't accept that as an answer then, what makes you think I'll accept it again." She mumbled something then walks awayI take the dress off, she comes back, I tell her I'm not pleasedShe doesn't say anything, just looks at me blanklyI turn around and start to hang the dress up and she tells me she's going to bag it upI walk around front, she hands me my dressDoesn't offer me any help to let me leave happy, made me feel like because I paid for the dress, they don't want to help me anymoreI walk out of the store, count down from cause I've got tears in my eyesI walk back in, three ladies are now standing at the front of the shop behind the desk, I say loudly "Get Bernie or Dianne to call me", Sheila says "tell me what's wrong." I say "I showed you what was wrong in the change room" ( now there are other women in the store and they are hearing me yell) Sheila doesn't say anything in reply, I say "NO ONE SPENDS ALMOST $FOR A DRESS THEY WEAR FOR LESS THAN HOURS TO WALK AWAY BEING UNHAPPY! GET BERNIE TO CALL ME!" Takes days for Bernie to call meI tell him why I'm unhappy, says he understands, he will try to fix it and will call me backNo call back for a weekI start calling for Bernie, every time he is "busy" or had left the shop and wouldn't return until the next dayA month goes by, nothing from the bridal shopI post a review on their Facebook pageNo response, I post photos of the holes, still no responseI contacted *** via their Facebook pageThey get back to me with the misunderstanding that I dislike the skin exposureThat wasn't my concernMy concern was that the lace wasn't sewn to the satin, that the lace was frayed, stretched beyond its pattern*** emails Helene's, Helene's posts the message to my reviewI end up talking to Cindy from *** Canada, she tells me there is nothing she can do and they don't deal with the general public, I would have to go to the bridal shopI call my fiancé, I tell him to call because I'm upsetHe calls ***, they say the same thing to him but are willing to fix the dress, but we need to go through the bridal shopMy fiancé calls the bridal shopHe calls me back, he says the bridal shop won't help me unless I change my FACEBOOK REVIEW FIRSTI call the owner Sheila and tell her " I would change the review as long as you fix my dress FIRST, not before, I've spent the money, with days before I get married, I'm losing out" she says noShe wouldn't help me until the review is changedShe has never seen *** fix dresses at no costAnd she surely wasn't going to take on that cost
My advice is to STAY FAR AWAY FROM HELENE'S- the customer service aside from Dianne, was horrendousThanks for listening
