Helen's Intensive Pilates Reviews (5)

Dear [redacted], Helen's Pilates has already explained the nature of the dispute. [redacted] does not want to be responsible for decisions she makes and legal documents she signs. In order to avoid responsibility, she is doing everything she can, now using Revdex.com as a tool of intimidation and blackmailing. Every word she says is a lie. Her accusations are ridiculous and false. She demonstrates a completely unethical and unacceptable behavior.  Helen's Pilates reputation as major provider of Fitness classes in the South Brooklyn is very high. We are respected for a personalized approach to accommodate our clients needs, very qualified and highly trained and devoted instructors, and lastly - non-stop effort to bring Fitness into community.   Very truly yours,                Olena  Ov[redacted] President of Helen's Intensive Pilates   Studio on *  ###-###-#### Studio on *  ###-###-#### Studio on [redacted]  ###-###-####   Our website: [redacted] email: [redacted]   [redacted]

This letter is a response to [redacted]’s complaint to Revdex.com, New York. Unfortunately, [redacted] is distorting the facts. She was indeed informed that missing the class would be against Helen's Pilates cancelation Policy. However, when the secretary reported this issue to the...

manager, the decision was immediately made Not to charge [redacted]. Moreover, the same manager (Mr. R[redacted]) later called [redacted], apologized for the inconvenience and asked [redacted] not to ruin the relationship because of this misunderstanding and continue exercising at Helen's Pilates. [redacted] accepted the apologies and agreed. Then, during the Holiday season, the New Years, [redacted] did not contact Helen's Pilates. Probably, as so many other clients, she was on vacation. Then, she contacted Helen's Pilates and started demanding her money back. Very quickly her demands escalated to the level of threats: "Let’s not do this the hard way, please:" ..stated [redacted] in one of her letters. [redacted] did not explain what exactly she meant by the "hard way". To make things worse, [redacted] came to one of Helen's Pilates locations without an appointment at 8 pm, Friday night, and refused to leave before the manager comes. The classes were in progress and because [redacted] behaved very aggressively interrupting the Yoga session and refusing to leave, even though she was promised to be contacted the next day by a manager, Helen's Pilates was forced to call NYPD to restore the order in the studio. And lastly, [redacted]'s accusations of "creating a hostile environment and having aggressive instructors" are false, ridiculous and offensive. For a year and a half [redacted] happily attended classes at Helen’s Pilates. Obviously, she would not remain on board for such a long time unless she was completely satisfied with the services. Then, in January 2016, [redacted] made her mind to leave and in a very rude, unethical and disrespectful manner demanded her money back, despite the fact that she willingly and knowingly signed the Agreement of Release and Waiver of Liability which specifically says that “All sessions are Non-Refundable and Non –Transferable”. [redacted] believes she can break the rules and now she is using Revdex.com as a tool of intimidation and blackmailing. Does Freedom of Speech mean that people can use such organizations as Revdex.com, whose function is first and foremost to protect Human rights, with the purpose of revenge and retribution?! [redacted] believes – “Yes”. Should a reasonable and independent adult be responsible for her own decisions and official documents she signs?! [redacted] believes – “No”. Helen’s Pilates has been in business since January 2008. Initially started as a small Pilates Apparatus studio in [redacted], during the course of a few years Helen’s Pilates grew into a chain of three studios offering a wide range of services, such as Zumba, Yoga, Piloxing, Barre, etc. This tremendous achievement has been made possible by a very hard work and enthusiasm of Helen’s Pilates management and employees in spite of economic uncertainty of Recession. Helen’s Pilates has a great reputation among local residents as the fitness club that makes every effort to accommodate all their clients’ needs. All clients are treated with a great deal of personalized approach and respect. Helen’s Pilates denies [redacted]’s accusations as totally fake, ridiculous, offensive and unethical. Helen’s Pilates has every right to protect their good name and reputation against people who do not adhere to the basic rules of Ethics. Sincerely, Helen, President of Helen’s Pilates. January **, 2016.

Review: I had paid Helen's Intensive Pilates $150.00 for a 10 Zumba class package. The facility began having issues with ventilation and air conditioning. Complaints were being voiced by the entire class continuously. On my 4th session, the air conditioning was so poor that I, along with others, almost lost conciousness. I complained to the co-owner, Boris. His response was "If you don't like it, take your money and leave." I agreed. However, by the end of my class he had changed his mind and the business refuses to issue a refund for the unused portion of my package. He kicked me out and is keeping my money. I had used 4 classes. I have 6 unused for which I would like my money ($90) refunded. I've even requested signed (by me) documentation of their refund policy. They were nonresponsive. Please help. I am just asking for what is rightfully owed me. Thank you very much.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund to my credit card for the unused portion of my package.
