This person is looking for free product from us and other motorcycle aftermarket accessory manufacturers, as evidenced by his "desired settlement" for a free *** seat saddle which we do not produceAs he stated, he visited our business when we had an open house in June He spoke with
an employee who may have explained our ""Free HeliBars" program which is listed on our websiteWe seek current model motorcycles for R&D to add to our product line, and the customer who's bike is used for this purpose receives a set of HeliBars He apparently misunderstood many of the points of the program, because we do not offer "free sets of custom bars a year", in fact we do not do custom work but only develop products for productionWe never use the words "custom bars" as he has stated. In addition, his motorcycle has not been on our list of models that we are looking for because of the ageHe may have been told to give us a call in October, which is a quieter time of year in the motorcycle industry and typically a time when we have a clearer picture of upcoming R&D projectsWhen he called us on October 12, he was told that unfortunately our R&D calendar is full for this year and that we would not be using his motorcycle for R&D due to the ageHe was quite persistent to the point of threatening in his numerous phone calls to us on that day

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ***P However in reading the response from what appears to be the owner, I am withdrawing my complaintMy reason for this is I would rather not do business with a company that cannot keep its wordI went to to this company just to have them sign my passport for Bike WeekI had no intentions of buying anything from themThey are the ones who approached me about the handle barsWhat they have failed to tell you is that I was with someone who witnessed all that I have statedI never asked for anythingThe discussion I had with the lady who gave us the tour of the facility is plain and simpleSHe told me exactly what I statedTHe owner was there and he agreed to what the lady saidIN response to his statement that they do not make custom handlebars, that is an out right lieHeliebars is company that makes and designs handle bars for motorcyclesSee the attached photo of the business cardIt states right on it, Revolutionizing Handlebar Design for ultimate performance & comfortThose words in themselves are an admittance the company does make scustom handlebarsSince they are not a motorcycle manufacture, it would stand to reason the only handlbars they make are custom handlebarsFurther I am not adamant that I know this company's business practicesI only stated to what I was informed the day I went to the shopThis was told to me by the lady giving the tour of the facility, whom by the way no longer works thereFurthermore, It would be my position that since this lady is no longer with the company, the offered that was made to me left with her, and as I was told the five bikes that are in the R&D were booked after my visit to the facilityI believe this to be the true reason why Helibars does not want to honor their agreement with meIn conclusion, the entire conversation about the *** seat was brought about my seat being uncomfortableThe owner himself told me that he was a *** dealer and that he could get me a *** seat at a discounted priceCorrect me if I am wrong, but the words at a discounted price, do not sound like an offer of a free seatI only stated that in the very least, since they were not willing to honor their original agreement since their R&D shop was full, then I would be willing to settle for thatHowever I would rather be homeless and living out of a carboard box then ever do business with a man who cannot keep his wordMy father brought me up to believe that a man could be the poorest person in the world, but so long as he keeps his word to those he gives it to, then he is the richest man in the worldFurther I plan to go to the motorcycle week Association, and inform them of this incident in hopes that this company is removed from the passport program.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted].  As  stated prior, I went to heli bars during bike week to do the passport run. After enter the facility, myself and another person with me, were given a tour of the facility. I was informed by the person giving us the tour, stated that they did four custom setups for people a tear. The lady doing the tour indicated to the owner who was standing there the entire time, that the company had never done custom handle bars for my specific motorcycle. At that point she indicated to me that "it was my lucky day" and that they would do a custom handle bars that would be fitted to me for my bike. After further conversation, I made mention of how uncomfortable my seat was and that I was used to riding with a [redacted]. At that point the owner himself made the comment that he was a [redacted] seat dealer and that he could set me up with a seat at a discounted price, NOT FREE as is indicated in the companies response. My only threatening tone towards the two ladies on the phone was that this company had made a verbal agreement with me to do this. It was discussed then and once more over the summer that I would bring my bike to them in October as the riding season pretty much ends. They would take my bike, do the custom bars and store my bike at their facility for the winter. It is apparent that since the lady who did the tour is no longer employed with this company, that they have forgotten about me and now as the lady on the phone stated have five bikes that were booked after my visit to  the facility. I never asked for them to offer this to me at any time. I never asked them for a free [redacted] seat as this officer manager is stating. All I am asking for is for this company to keep its word to me and do as they stated they would. Until I did the passport run for bike week and drove to maine to get them to stamp my book and they were the last ones, I had never even heard of this company, never been on their website period.

Regards,
[redacted]

We have been asked once again to respond to [redacted]'s statement to the Revdex.com. He has complained about our "selling practices". We sold him nothing, nor did we offer to sell him anything. He visited our business during an open house in June 2017. He arrived at approximately 4:59PM, just before our business was closing.  We have security cameras which can verify this information. He stated that he was told that we would "do a (FREE) custom handlebar that would be fitted to me for my bike". I am the owner of the company and I state that this offer was not made to this person. We do not make custom handlebars, nor do we ever offer to make custom handlebars. If we did custom work, it would be charged an hourly rate of at least $150.00. He states that he had never heard of our company before he came to "do the passport run", but he is adamant that he knows our business practice so well that he knows that we "do 4 free sets of custom bars a year"? We have been in business for 30 years and I'm 100% certain that he cannot find any evidence that we "do 4 free sets of custom bars a year". We do have motorcyclists who allow their bikes to be used for R&D in our shop, and if we produce a product then they get handlebars at no charge. He called us in October and offered us the use of his bike for R&D. He was told that we were declining his offer due to the age of his bike and because our R&D design calendar was full. This caused him to become quite belligerent on the telephone with our staff . He implied that he had planned to store his motorcycle at our facility for the winter (which we estimate would cost him in excess of $500 if he were to have to pay for this). We believe this is his true motivation for his complaint to the Revdex.com.  We also believe that he is looking for a free motorcycle seat, as evidenced by his desired settlement ..."in the very least the could outfit my bike with a free [redacted] seat saddle". The cost of a [redacted] seat is in excess of $500.00. We have previously responded truthfully and at length to the person's complaint, and we feel that his demands are unreasonable.
