I am extremely pleased with the foundation work completed by HELITECH and the professionalism of the crewThey were running a little behind but were courteous enough to call ahead and let me know***

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Prior to the work done by Helitech to stabilize our foundation we never had any water leakage from the cracks in the east wall of our basement The leaks only occurred after they worked on our foundation in addition to the leaks around their anchors and beams New cracks also appeared in the which would the indicate the foundation stabilization is still not totally effective They are trying to make it sound like they are doing us a favor when in fact they are just repairing damage their repairs induced Sincerely, [redacted]

Helitech did some mud jacking for me on my driveway, sidewalk and patio Their work crews were very professional and did a terrific jobThey also cleaned up the work area before they leftI would highly recommend them

Helitech installed a drainage field and pumps in the crawlspace of our house Their Project Estimator responded very quickly to our request for an estimate and were equally quick in getting their team of installers out to our home Our house had inches of standing water when they began the work It was a nasty and laborious installation However, their team was courteous and professional when on site They delivered a solution as promised and in a timely fashion We have had no problems since the installation and would confidently recommend this company

We have worked with Helitech on many projects over the years We have always been well satisfied with the quality of their work and their approach to customer service

To whom it may concern, Since the project was completed for the ***'s in March of 2014 there has been several instances of leaks that have occurred , around the anchor bolts, at the base of the c channels and at crack locations.each time there has been a leak Helitech has
responded to the issue and repaired the leak, with the exception of cracks in the foundation wall that we only covered with hydraulic cement that carried no warranty. The most recent crack that need to be repaired has been completedwe do apologize for the delay in completing this repair. This company has to be the worst company I have every had to deal withNot only were they not competent enough to finish the job correctly (rebuild concrete steps) they left foot prints in the concrete that they did pourThey did re -pour my steps, but they left a 4-inch wide, 2-feet in length hole all the way across the top step, covered up with black stuff, they called "The Draining System" and foot prints at the bottom of my stepsThey called this a finished jobThey also thought, that sending someone to fill the huge whole at the top of the steps with concrete (patch job) was adequate They finally came back after much arguing with them and busted the steps up and re-formed them, and guess what, they did not form them right!!!!! After about weeks with no steps, I had to get someone else to pour themHelitech finally reduced the amount that I owed them by the full amount of my initial payment to them for the stepsBut, not before trying to scare me into paying them through an attorney and threatening to put a mechanics lean on my homeYou have days, from the last time work was done at your home by a company before you have to pay the billThey wanted to only give me back a fraction of the cost due to them having to bust them back up, but that was on them not meIf they had done it right the first time there would not have been an issueAlso, when they poured my steps (the ones that had to be busted back out and re-poured by someone else), the first step was a inch step down, the second step was a inch step down and the rest were anywhere form and 7.5-inch step downSteps made like that are considered a hazard!!!! Steps should only be any where from 6-inches deep with a inch run When they finally did come and bust out and re-form the steps, they had the run to where my foot was going to hang over the step when I walked down them and they had the steps to where they would have been leaning backwardsSo, if any water did get on the steps it would stay putI have nothing good to say about this company and could go on and on about all the mistakes, issues and mess that they leftNEVER, NEVER, NEVER use this company, shop around and find someone who is competent

RE- Complaint Case # XXXXXXX
To Whom It May Concern,

Around July of 2006 Mr. [redacted] contracted Helitech to install 4 helical piers on the...

right side of his walk out basement to stop the vertical settlement of this wall. This work was completed 6/27/2006.
On around August 1st 2013 Mr. [redacted] called in stating that he was seeing some movement in the area that Helitech piered. On August 15th 2013 Helitech sent a customer service rep to Mr. [redacted]'s home to investigate possible vertical movement in the area that we piered.
During this visit we measured a set of data points that were originally installed after the completion of the job, in the homes foundation, based upon those measurements and considering all the information that we gathered during this visit. It was determined that the wall was not settling vertically but rather there could be some lateral movement allowing an outward rotation of the side foundation wall, one of the things that was noted during this visit is that the retaining wall that is approximately 35' from the wall that we piered is failing, thus allowing the soil that the piers are in to slide laterally. It was recommended at that point that it may be necessary to install tiebacks into the side foundation wall to keep it from sliding sideways. Mr. [redacted] decided to monitor the situation and call Helitech back if he noticed any continued movement.
On around May 20th 2014 Mr. [redacted] called in stating that he believed the piered wall was continuing to move and wanted us to come out and measure the wall.
On June 2nd 2014 Helitech again sent a customer service rep to Mr. [redacted]'s home to investigate this movement. It was determined that there was lateral movement occurring and this was because of a retaining wall that is still continuing to fail. During this visit Mr. [redacted] stated that he had a large utility truck that had been in this side yard area and felt himself that this had caused his retaining wall to bow laterally.
Unfortunately we can only treat the symptoms, when we originally bid this work in2006 there was no indications of lateral movement, now we believe because of a failing retaining wall the soil that supports our piers is moving lateral.
However, we are willing to bring an engineer out to Mr. [redacted]'s home, to do an inspection of the home in an effort to determine if there is lateral movement and if there is anything that Helitech can do to assist our customer.
We will be calling Mr. [redacted] to set up an appointment for an engineer and the Customer Relations Manager to visit the home, in an effort to settle this matter.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
Manager, Customer Relations

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/07/01) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The retaining wall was and is in the same position that it was when Helitech was called for evaluation of the situation and they said we needed the piers. We did not tell them we wanted piers, we indicated we wanted the problem of the outside wall separating from the floor in the basement fixed and they said we needed 4 piers. They did not say anything about the retaining wall before the work was done. As in my original statement on the complaint, "Helitech failed to do the job correctly". Due to their incorrect evaluation of my problem.

We have worked with Helitech on many projects over the years. We have always been well satisfied with the quality of their work and their approach to customer service.
