Helmer Pools was recommended to my wife and I from a friend. During the installation of our pool, the workers used my tractor to assist them in digging the pool and conducting the prep work. They ordered another small track hoe to complete the dig work but got it stuck in the mud in my back yard. They then took it upon themselves to use my tractor, while we were not there, to attempt to pull the track hoe out of the mud. They in turn damaged my tractor by busting a hydraulic line. They failed to call and tell me this until I called them after being informed by the person picking the track hoe rental up of what they did. When he informed them that it would cost them extra money if the track hoe rental was not filled up with diesel fuel, they then decided to steal my diesel fuel from a container under my barn and fill the rental up with my diesel fuel. I repaired the hydraulic line myself! Other tools such as my logging chain, which they possibly used to pull the stuck track hoe out, have never been found! Since the pool installation, I have found out the lights they installed are substandard and do not work after only 3 years! Additionally, one of the valves they installed for the main drain has not worked properly since day one and has been extremely hard to turn on and off. It has now broken off. It appears they installed this particular valve from another job or from one that was left over and old as it is clearly different and older looking than all the other valves near the pool pump. We have submitted photos documenting this to them and spoken to them about this. Now, they do not answer our phone calls and will not even return our messages as if they believe we will just forget about it. We paid good money for someone to not only install our pool, but be around to at least return our phone calls and help resolve problems such as this. VERY DISAPPOINTED!
