I have suffered steam burns on both left and right inside upper thighs. The left was initially blistered and the right was blistered but the loose/burnt skin rubbed off and exposed white, raw meat that became infected. Upon treatment at Kaiser Permanente, I was prescribed burn cream to apply 2x a day for 7 days and oral antibiotics to take every 6 hours for 7 day. Either the steam was too high or the 1.5 hrs I was left on the v-steamer was too long.
The owner, Kathi, was the only person to administer services to all customers on that day. Not sure if this is her normal practice, but she need additional staff to ensure customers are appropriately monitored during spa treatments and aren't left unattended to obtain such injuries.
