Helping Hand Cleaning Service, The

Review: My family hired this company over a year ago and they have been cleaning our home since. In the beginning of our contract, we were quoted $100.00 bi-weekly after they came and thoroughly reviewed our home. I requested that the girls clean the basement floor by hand verses using a mop. The company agreed to do this at an additional cost of $10.00 for a total of $110.00 bi weekly cleaning. We all agreed and the cleaning began. In the past month or so, I noticed the cleaning was not being done according to our agreement and the basement floor was not being cleaned at all under the large surface rug in the living space. I called the company to make a complaint. I had complained about this exact problem over 3 months ago. I explained to the company that we intentionally placed a item (homemade greeting card) under the large carpet in the living area on two occasions to see if they were cleaning under the rug and discovered they were not. I placed a complaint on both occurrences asking them to clean under the rug as agreed. I received a call from the representative who advised she spoke to the owner about the situation, since we have called on several occasions about the same problem. The response we received was very unprofessional and offensive in nature. We were told that our price would increase to $175.00 to hand wipe the floor in the basement even after they already agreed to do this at the rate off $110.00 a year ago. I told them that the only reason they were raising the price now is because of my many complaints of them not cleaning under the rug as agreed. They also admitted that they have not been cleaning the floor by hand and in fact have been using a mop which is against our agreement and explains why the grout on my floor is so dirty. The response from the lady I spoke too was "God is not pleased with your complaints and I will pray for you and we will no longer clean your house and hung up on me. A refund is warranted for services not rendered.Desired Settlement: We would like a full refund of $110.00 for the last cleaning done because the services were not rendered as agree and have not been done for at least the last several cleanings. The carpet was not lifted and the floor moped under the carpet. In addition, the floor was moped with a mop rather than by hand as per our agreement, the tub in the basement bathroom was not cleaned and the floor was not cleaned behind the door. All of this is part of our agreement with the company. The company refused to respond back to do the job properly and refused to provide service to us in the future merely because of our complaints we made which were all legitimate complaints regarding services not rendered according to our original contract. We found out the ladies were using a mop instead of hand wiping the floor after a year of services with them, so this was hidden form us until the representative spoke to the ladies and they admitted using a mop.

Mrs. [redacted] accusation that we're only raising her rate because she complained is totally false. Her complaints have never been anything major. Although, she does expect too much for her rate of $110. The house should already be picked up and fresh linens laid respectively on their beds, if linen change is desired.
