My husband & I Hired helping hands llc on sept 19,2020 to do bathroom work on 2 shower walls & plumbing on master bath sink and cabinet work on the bathroom sink and due to faulty craftsmanship the sink and shower leaked damaging the bathroom shower walls, flooring in bathroom, kitchen, hallway, laundry room kitchen dining nook, this is a 1970 trailer and there is possible asbestos. The flooring is still wet as of 2-10-2020 when I had the restoration company back at my home and their
Main Concern is the asbestos and mold that has occurred from the faulty craftsmanship work of helping hands and the small child that resides in the home . I fear for the 4 month living there and my daughter and son in law the contractor on several occasions said he would fix it and then refused to. My master bathroom is tore up and still trying to dry it out the contractor said to sue him after several attempts to try to have him fix. The contractor refuses to pay his deductible to his insurance and told his insurance he would take care of this issue with me and then refused to do what’s right so this can be taken care of and have my home put back together. I had a restoration company come out and give me a estimate to put the home back together it will cost $12,472.13. Helping hands just came out last week and removed the frp from one shower and then refused to fix again I have tried all avenues to work this out with the contractor prior to filing in court for the contractors bond to resolve this.

ok we never refused to do the work which was to replace the FRP panels we installed and she also had a company come in and say it was the toilet that was leaking due to bad wax ring which we did not install...when she was first saying it was the shower and she also removed the caulking we put on all the gaps on the FRP and we have proof of all the text and photos showing that it was the toilet and also of us never refusing to install new FRP panels ,she then says that its the sink after she knew that it was the toilet even though my dad and I checked it while we were there taking the FRP off and there was no water damage on the sink as you can see in the photos the damage is around the toilet and under the vinyl between the toilet and the wax ring so this water damage was not caused by any of the work we did...we have many more photos of text of her saying that she removed the caulking we did and many more text of us trying to work with her so that we can just go install new FRP panels but then she now wants us to also fix the water damage we didn't cause and so she threatens us many times to take us to court because we don't want to fix any damage caused by the toilet and work we did not do and she also never paid us for the job

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:Helping hands is not understanding that it is not just the frp that was ruined due the shower enclosures not being done correctly which damaged other things that now need replaced and will not look at all the facts of what they touched and what is now ruined (shower & flooring) due to shower & leaking sink, moisture, water damage. They used painters tape on the back of the frp panels in the shower to help hold the corners on. This is unprofessional craftsmanship work which resulted in many damages. . Due to the poor workmanship it caused damage to other areas of the home and has created moisture. I have several pictures of the sink damage. This would be a lie on helping hands part to say the sink was fine and they have pictures. I will provide my pictures of the sink water damage and mold. It was a error on my part saying it was the toilet as the toilet was removed and seal was in tact. The toilet once removed and I was drying it out the surrounding area I Came back few days later and I still had wet floor along the back side of the toilet that I could see was running close to the wall even after the toilet was removed for a few days I then traced The last source of flowing water that is when I checked under the bathroom vanity sink. This was a brand new sink vanity when we purchased the property. Helping hands did the plumbing to it. I immediately let them know and it was clear at this point that the sink and the flow of the water from the sink went behind the toilet, by the tub, then passed into the water heater area, that sits off the bathroom, the laundry room, front door, kitchen as it followed a path. The picture of the sinks plumbing helping hands worked on is below. They continue to say they will fix the frp but other things have to be done now to to that correctly so no other issues arise. The back boarding of the shower enclosure is wet and has moisture and has brittled and broke off which needs replaced. Helping hands put up the frp onto this wood that they now say should t have been that low to the tub, but installed frp over it when they did the job, which has resulted in damages to the wood now from water they can not just put up frp and we are done. This has turned into a bigger issue now that the sink was found leaking and cause more damage. The things helpings hand touch has created more damage that needs fixed in the amount of approx. $12,450.00. Yes I have tried to get helping hands to understand that the sink leaked and about the shower damage, I have stated I will take them to court if this can’t be resolved as many times as I have tried they refuse to acknowledge their mistakes and fix them accordingly. If this does not resolve it, I am prepared to file all my documents with Yakima county superior court against the contractors $12,000 bond to I can put my home back together.
Sincerely

The water damage is obviously underneath the vinyl which is only possible threw the toilet where most of the dark area was...if it were from a leaky sink the water would of sat on top of the vinyl which would of not caused dark spots on top due to vinyl being water proof on top so she is lying because again we looked at the sink and the board beneath the plumbing was not damaged and now is trying to say it is...when they could of easily try to damage it themselves and now trying to blame us...and as far as the FRP we were going to install new FRP even though vanessa took off all our caulking from the shower that she admitted to taking off and also about our painters tape to hold the corner is properly as you can tell she is not a contractor who has done this type of work before but yes the job was done because the corner has a sliver that it clips to the FRP and so we just tape it so that it does not move as we install the FRP but yea we told her we would talk in court and now she is doing all she can to make our company look bad ...I also told her to stop texting me that we would talk in court so she now goes through you guys to text me which is disrespectful and childish
