Review: Back on July *, 2014 my [redacted] found Hempstead Tire which is very close to where my yard is in [redacted] to repair the brakes, calibers, etc on 2 of my box trucks a 26ft and 20 ftas I own a moving company. This was an emergency and both myself and my husband were going back and forth with a gentleman we were told at the point of conversation his name was "[redacted]". He gave us an outrageous price which we negotiated. Told both myself and my husband we had to pay cash for this price and told us he would generate a receipt.

We wanted to bring my 2 trucks to our friends shop out East but would have to tow both trucks and we could not afford that added expense so we left the repairs with Hempstead Tire to do being we trusted them.

Once we were notified our trucks were ready for pick up, my [redacted] went down with the cash in the amount of $2,700.00 as they requested the only form of payment they will receive from us being they cut the cost.

[redacted] the [redacted] also texted myself and my husband that Hempstead Tire will only accept a cash payment as I have it saved in my phone which I can show.

When the trucks were picked up Hempstead Tire refused to write a receipt and guarantee the work done.

Well, it is now Tuesday August [redacted], and both my 20ft and 26ft trucks that were brought to Hempstead Tire on July *, 2014 for brake repairs that I paid for are back in the shop at another mechanic repairing the work that was suppose to be done in July that Hempstead Tire charged me for which they did not do.

My 20ft truck Hempstead Tire charged me $700.00 to do the rear brakes which he was paid for and did not do as per my mechanic at [redacted]., located in [redacted]

My 26ft truck Hempstead Tire charged me $2,000.00 to do the front brakes which they did not do. My employees were driving around in these trucks conducting moving jobs thinking Hempstead Tire did the work and Hempstead Tire shady practices put my employees in harms way where they could have been injured in an accident or caused casualties due to not performing the work on my trucks as they said they would and not providing me with a written receipt.

When my husband and I called on or about July [redacted] or [redacted] for a receipt, we asked for "[redacted]" as that who we were told we were speaking with and the man who answered the phone who refused to disclose his name said there was no person by the name [redacted] who works there, then we asked to speak to owner they refused, then we asked to speak to [redacted] the man on the phone said he was the [redacted]. We then asked for a receipt he told us "no" we pursued further for a receipt and explained we need this to prove to Dept of Transportation that are trucks are in good standing and for a warranty on the work and they told us "to go [redacted] ourselves"

After that phone call, I a woman owned small business owner was absolutely appalled that a business would speak to a customer that way and gave up.

Now that it has come to the surface that all they did was steal my $2,700.00 cash as they required, did not do the work, and now I am paying another company to do the work all over again which is costing me more money that I do not have and now I am forced to rent trucks and spend more money that I do not have to continue my business running safely and efficiently.

I will be contacting Consumer Affairs, the IRS and my Attorney who just so happens to be a Suffolk County Supreme Court Judge.

I t is disgusting that these men who run this horrible business Hempstead Tire took advantage of me a woman owned small business just trying to run an honest company and stay afloat how they took my money, lied to me, refused to write a receipt, did not do any of the work they said they would do then curse at me and hang up.

I am looking for full retribution and I will not stop until I get it. I will be filing a suit in small claims court as well, I will also sue this company for my Attorney fees and the $250.00 per day each truck that I have to rent to keep my natural flow of business operating.Desired Settlement: I want my full $2,700.00 cash returned to me immediately, I will not negotiate or back down.

Review: I brought my work truck to be repaired by Hempstead tire on may [redacted]. The truck was not running it was towed there. The Saturday prior a fuel injector had been replaced it was a rebuilt part. They told be the next day the part was not good and had to be replaced and the truck was done. They charged me 500$. I got in the truck and drove away and the lights were flashing and the engine was not running properly. They told me to come back Monday. I said I didn't feel comfortable driving like that and I left the truck. They kept of for 3 more days and couldn't find a reason why it was running poorly and charged me an extra 250$ for parts they said it " needed" but didnt change the way it ran. They charged me 750$ total and told me at least they got it running, but it just runs poorly" and that they didnt know the condition it was in before. Meanwhile the truck has been running good for the 4 years I had it and never had a check engine or abs light on. They didnt call me while they had it to update me, I called them several times to inquire on the status. They gave me no straight answer and took my 750$.Desired Settlement: I would like either my truck to finish being repaired, the part they installed be tested or removed and refunded so I can purchase a new part because I believe the part they installed is also defective as it is a rebuilt part not a new part.
