Vehicle (2007 Honda Accord - driver side bumper area)repair work was completed by Hendrick Collison Center September 3, 2015. Payment was made and I was presented a Certified Written LifeTime Warranty, specifically relating to painting "against solvent blistering, peeling, hazing and excessive loss of pigmentation". On March 25, 2016, I noticed the paint was chipping on the bumper area that had been completed seven months prior. I called the Center, spoke with [redacted] and informed her of my dilemma. She indicated that the manager was on vacation but would be in the next day, and that he would need to take a look at the car. The following day, I went to Hendrick Collision Center and spoke with [redacted] about my concern. He looked at the bumper area and told me that the peeling paint was a result of the "car being hit", or "the bumper being flexed from pressure of being scraped". I informed him that my car had not been hit and that there was no indication of collision in that area. I have pictures to confirm. I simply said thank you, returned to my car, and left the premises. A second request to have the chipping paint area repaired (in the form of a certified letter) was also sent. Tracking receipts indicated the letter was received on April 18th. As of today, I have not received a response from any rep. from Hendrick Collision Center. Each time my car is washed, the paint chips more and more. Simply stand by your warranty and your website claims!!!!!!?We strive for A+ customer satisfaction at all times.?We conduct business in an honest and straightforward manner.?Lifetime Warranty on all repairsAccount_Number: Repair Order: XXXXXDesired SettlementI simply wish for the chipping paint area to be properly painted.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted] shop manageContact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@hendrickauto.comThis issue has been brought to Hendrick's attention, our warranty is limited lifetime as long as there is no damage causing the issues. In this customers situation the lower portion of the bumper has been hit while parked unattended or scraped on a curb causing the bumper to flex and made the paint crack on the bumper cover. This is not covered by warranty. The damage was not only looked at by shop manager but also there were two other employees that seen the damages as well. In all three of the shops employee's professional experience this damaged is caused by something hitting bumper cover. If the customer would like to bring the vehicle back we can schedule a paint professional to look at the issue that is not employed by Hendrick Collision Center. Consumer Response My car was not hit. However Mr. [redacted] is correct in his assertion that there is scraping on the underside of the repaired bumper, which could have caused the bumper to flex. I wondered why the passenger side bumper did not flex and ultimately have the same scraping. It was brought to my attention that the passenger side bumper has a tighter gap under the headlight than the driver side bumper. This gap may seem minor, but it appears to be the cause of the driver side bumper scraping and flexing, while the passenger side bumper is not doing the same. I will have a professional body shop examine and provide a written summation regarding whether my car has been "hit" or if the driver side bumper was misaligned during repair. I request another week to have my car inspected.Thank you.

Complaint8/30/2013My insurance carrier had an agent come out to mediate the missing parts issue last week. I was informed that Hendrick Collision is taking no responsibility for the missing parts and [redacted] is no longer able to mediate. It has been suggested to me to contact the Revdex.com or open a case with small claims court if Hendrick Collision and I can not come to a resolution. Hendrick Collision said in a previous email "we dont have the parts for the car (they were in the car when we put it in the tow lot) we will not cover lost parts on a totaled vehicle" This comment is unacceptable. The automobile was in Hendrick's care and parts were lost under Hendricks care, therefore Hendrick is responsible for the parts removed and lost. I have contacted Hendrick Via email and through my Insurance carrier and Hendrick has been less then cooperative. The missing parts include with a total owed of $232.60 based on parts.vw.com MSRP for missing parts and quantity.http://parts.vw.com/parts/2000/VOLKSWAGEN/BEETLE/ Description quantity cost totalDriver Fender Guard 1 58 58Pass Fender Guard 1 58 58VW Hood Emblem 1 63 63Fender Liner Nut Left 1 1.3 1.3Fender Liner Nut right 1 1.3 1.3Fender Liner Screw Left 6 0.86 5.16Fender Liner screw Right 6 0.86 5.16Fender Screw Left 4 1.3 5.2Fender Screw Right 4 1.3 5.2Fender nut Left 4 0.86 3.44Fender nut right 4 0.86 3.44Bumper & Fender Screw 18 1.3 23.4Total Due 232.6Product_Or_Service: Auto Appraisal ReportDesired SettlementRefund of $232.60 for lost parts at Hendrick Collision. Collision shop had my vehicle for 3 months and returned it to me with cracked windshield, now refusing to fixI dropped my vehicle ([redacted]) off to Hendrick Collision for rear driver side damage (struck by another driver, his insurance [redacted] covered the rear repairs Claim #[redacted]) on Feb 13, 2015. It was a brand new vehicle I had only owned for 2 months (purchased from [redacted], NC in Dec 2014). When I picked up my vehicle on May 14, 2015 (3 months later), there was a huge crack in the front windshield. I immediately went back to speak with the manager I had been dealing with and he told me he didn't know what had happened and needed to "look into it". When I contacted my insurance agent on May 15, 2015 he was able to speak to the manager that day and was told that I had left the vehicle with a rock embedded in the windshield. When I followed up with this manager ([redacted]) on May 18, 2015, he told me he was supposed to tell me about the windshield but "forgot in the moment." I explained to him that during the 3 months they had my vehicle NO ONE mentioned this problem to me. Due to the fact that they had to repaint my vehicle following the repairs (which as of July 30 are still not completed), the varying change in temperature from heat from drying the paint, they caused this chip in the windshield to become a huge crack. I have asked them to definitely prove to me that I left my vehicle with them like that, and they cannot do it. They have no proof. My car was only 2 months old when I dropped it off with them. I told [redacted] that I have absolutely no idea how they stored my car for 3 months, and it was appalling that they let this problem on my windshield get worse. This is on top of the fact that the repairs took months (and are not completed), the customer service and communication were abhorrent, and the only thing they can offer me for my windshield is covering the cost of the labor to fix it. I would still be responsible for paying for the glass windshield. I find this absolutely unacceptable and find the shop completely at fault for this damage. I have never in my car owning career (13 years) had such a terrible experience getting work done on a vehicle. The last time I spoke to the shop about this issue was May 18, 2015, and [redacted] only offered to cover the cost of repair on the windshield, even though I explicitly stated I expected the shop to cover the total cost of the windshield and repair.Desired SettlementI will only accept that Hendrick Collision fix my front windshield, completely free of charge, and finish the final repairs on the rear of my vehicle that they began in February 2015 (since the insurance has already paid for those parts and labor).
