Good day, I apologize for the delay in my response to complaint # ***My response to the complaint is as follows: I was contacted by the customer on a Tuesday for an estimate to paint the entire interior of sqft home, walls & base I gave them my bid and then that
evening they contacted me asking if they went with me would I be able to finish by SaturdayI explained it would be close but yes it could be done, she then again stressed it had to be done by SaturdayWe arrived on job on Wedand was asked if I could repair a couple of sheet rock repairs that needed to be doneI said yes, at no additional chargeOn Thursday on way to job my water pump went out and was delayed that dayThey were panicked and asked if Saturday was still doable I assured them it would be done on Saturday The original estimate was for one coat of paint, they did not want to pay the additional labor for coatsI as an experienced painter explained the result difference between and coats of paintThey agreed and said they understood Friday they asked if we could do the doors, since I had been late due to car trouble I agreed again at no additional chargeOn Saturday evening after being very rushed the job was completeThey then asked if we could come back tomorrow to go over work and do any touch ups we agreed but thought it strange since they were so insistent on completion for SaturdaySunday came and went by they had a list and asked if we could come during the week to fixThe first and foremost was that there were sheer spots on the wall, I explained to them that is why I recommend coats, that I could not go and put an additional coat under the original bid, that would be extra, they said no, and I touched up the other areas and concerns on her listThe next day she called again with more touch upsI then asked that I did not understand the reasoning for Saturday deadline and then calling me every day to come back for something, that if they would have allotted and additional day or two in the first place which obviously since they were asking me back on a daily basis they had the time to allotAfter trips back to the customers home I explained that the job was completeThe walls, doors, and base looked good and what they were asking was going to cost more as it was not on contractThey did not like my response, especially about the point that they didn't have to have the job done by Saturday and that I felt rushed and under pressure and that if they would have went with the coats they would not be calling me backShe then said that she had people asking her who did the painting and she wanted to be able to refer me to her friends that needed painting done (the oldest line in the book every customer saids in hopes to get more free additional work) she told me she was going to contact the Revdex.com and I respectfully told her that she needed to do what she felt she needed toSo, here we are today responding to her complaintAll I can say is I believe after years of painting, I am qualified to give my opinion and I know the results of the amount of coats, the color etc of paint will achieveI also believe that this is my st maybe 2nd complaint after years, I am sorry I could not please them an make them happy, they just didn't understand that I could not continue to spend more time on their home for free, that I am a very small Business and that I had another job also with a dead line to complete along with the fact of it being a paid jobIf there is something I can do to make them happy that is with in a reasonable request I am willing to do so, but I can not nor will I put an additional coat on the walls or any other requests not on the contract for free Thank you, *** ***

I am rejecting this response because: He is being very dishonest and is telling portions of the truth to satisfied his own motive. We have all his text messages that he admitted HIMSELF that he did a poor paint jobHe also blamed the other guy working with him in the text. We have pictures of the poor job--paint should not be on the carpet and the edging was done partially. For a 3300+ sq ft home he only had a crew of two and the poor older gentleman did most of the work. The owner of this company is very unprofessional...I have text where he said he would fix the paint job and then he would never show up because he had another job to do. He showed up one-time after the Saturday job, not twice and said the would need a full day to fixed the work so he will come back to do so. But he didn't came back or answer text. His wife told us prior to finishing the job on Saturday that we will see areas on the wall that will need touch up because it was dark when they finished painting, so you couldn't see all the problem areas very well. I am a retired Air Force veteran of over 20+years and have no reason to lie about a service that I needed so I could sell my house. There is no reward or interest to me to lie about the paint job when I am selling the house. We tried to tell him that we would refer him to other people if he does a good job, but I had to tell my friends to stay away from this company. We had to pay another painting service that is willing to testify about the poor paint job prior to their arrival to fix the partially done areas & paint on carpet done by this company

Good day, I would like to see the textsWe have a signed contract for coat paint jobI explained that coat will not produced desired results they said coat, that was all they could affordAlso they rushed the job so much, constantly asking if we were going to be able to be done by Sunday which once started turned into SaturdayWe felt extremely rushed and pressed to hurry and finish, when in fact it did not have to be that wayI believe that the text she is referring to about poor paint job was referencing the coatI did go back to do touch up but was hit with basically re painting all doors and repainting most of the wallsWhat they had for touch up was a good 2-days of workI tend to believe that they rushed me and insisted on a coat paint job for the purpose of getting a coat paint job for the price of I am very sorry they are upset, I was willing to fix the drips she refereed to on the sides of the window sills but the mother was not happy with that and was insistent on more. As for the referring to other customers, I have been a contractor for years and whenever a home owner starts telling you about other people needing work it is guaranteed that they will be wanting more then they paid for, its the oldest trick in the book to get a contractor to do more with the promise of more workI also just noticed that the email is signed by the mother, I was dealing with the daughter , who told my wife that "my mother will call and call wanting more and more that we would just need to cut her off"There was no paint on the carpetAs for hiring another painting company, where did they have the time and money to do so when the job had to be done in at 1st days and then days and that was all the money they hadI explained that they were rushing the job then to add t it on the 2nd or 3rd day although not there fault but very unforeseen my water pump went in my vehicle, it took me most of the day to deal with it, so much that I left my vehicle where the pump went out to get to their house to work as to meet their time frame, and that would be the day that my helper was there longer then I wasI do not know what else to say and I no longer want to keep defending myself about this jobIf they would have went with the coats and not have rushed the job they never would have had to call me for touch up, and I explained this to them before the signing of the contractPainting a square foot home in days was a task of its own, and they explained that the money they agreed to was all they had to spend on the paintingI believe that to be lies as she stated they had to hire another painting company, it would have been less expensive if she would have listened to what I was saying before we signed contract instead of trying to save money and attempt to get more work out of me then what she paid for
