Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 7, 2015/10/20) */ Contact Name and Title: [redacted] Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: [redacted] @att.net In January [redacted] brought his vehicle to us as it had a leaking water pumpThis job takes hours to perform according to alldata, a leading estimating software companyWe informed [redacted] that with the mileage on the vehicle it is advisable to change the timing chain and thermostat at this time as there would be no additional laborOn april [redacted] brought the vehicle back in as there was a very small antifreeze leakThe leak was coming from the water pump gasketWe replaced the water pump along with the gasket again at our costIn June [redacted] brought the vehicle back again and again there was a leak at the water pump gasketThis time we called the Chrysler dealer and had them send us out a new water pump and gasketThe gasket was re-designed at this point as the manufacture was having trouble with the original designAT NO POINT were we EVER using the wrong partAgain we replaced the part at our cost which is about in billable labor just to make the customer happyWe explained everything we were doing to [redacted] and he was happy and understood what we were going thru and thanked us for what we did for himIn September [redacted] brought the car in complaining that is was overheatingAt no other time did he ever have an overheating problemWe checked the water pump straightaway and it was not leakingIn fact [redacted] never had an overheating problem with the other waterpumps we put on just a leaking gasketWe performed a couple of more tests and when we did a engine block test we determined that the cylinder head gaskets had been compromisedThis is a very different problem than the one he was having before and is in no way anything that we have any control over as we never has these parts off or taken loose at allHe stated in his letter that Chrysler sent out a redesign notice in Auto Repair never get these things mailed out as if we did we would get of them a day for all the different changes that the manufactures make on parts on a daily basisWe are in no way liable for these damages as it was months after the last repair and when he brought the vehicle in there were no leaks at all in the water pump areaThank You and if you would like to discuss this further please call me

She brought it here with her own diagnosis to put an alternator in She brought her own alternator in and we installed it The first time we installed her own was in 09/ Since she brought her own, we cannot warranty it In 11/2015, we replaced her alternator again, with another one she provided On 06/01/2016, she came in since she was getting tired of spending the $because her alternator kept going bad, so we would put our own in (with a 2-year 24k mile warranty) which she agreed to It was charging at 11.5v and when we replaced it, it charged at 13.5-14v She came back saying her check engine light was still on, and that we didn’t fix anything, though we did what was needed and requested Her engine light was on because she needed spark plugs, but she did not want to replace them The check engine light had nothing to do with the alternator
